Mem er ########I} Recess at 4:00 p.m. Monday, October 18, 1954. The members of the Board met in regular session at 10:00 A. M., with all members present. Mr. Osborn, a logger appeared and informed the Board he will be logging on the Quinault Road and bridges are in poor condition. Mr. Kruse, Mr. Huntineford and Maurice Bowman of the County Road department and Harvey Christian from the Engineer' 5 staff will inspect the bridges on October 19th. Mr. PurviAnce of Discovery Bay, Mr. Brookfield and Mr. Corey of :J.uilcene appeared and registered a protest against the game department usine; poisoned horsemeat for killing coyotes. The protest should be made to the St~te Game Dept. Liquor permits were received for Gudron Bri ttain and Harry R. tJri ttain d/b/a Whistling Oyster, Quilcene, BCEF licenl3~. Earl L. Graves, d/b/a Hop's Grocery, Box 47,Juilcene. I The Oak Bay Boat Club were informed the County road to the old ferr'y landing at Portage Canal would be closed. The members of the Board wish to go on record that the road will not be closed. A meeting of the Health Committtle will be held in the Court HClIlse Oct0ber 21st at 7:30 p.m. Land applications were approved as follows: A. R. Thompson, Tax No.3" 5, 6 Sec. 17, Twp. )0, R 1 W. offered 1P450.00. Mrs. Floyd Imislund - Dundee Place, Lots 1 to 12, Blok 45, offp.red $100.00. Applications ,fo I' liquor license was approved for H. E. 1,i t.trell, d/b/a Crocker Lake Store Rt 2, P,ort lownsend, Wash. E license. Neil Pendley appeared in behalf of Teffmsters' Union. A petitilm for vacation of road was filed by fl. C. Grany for Discovery !Jay Lumber Co. for that portion of old right of way of Primary Strite Hic;hway No.9 lying ile;;t of present right of way of State Highway No.9 in Sections 21~ and 25 in varnes 'lucker D'.lnation Claim :No. 40.
