The Honorable Board of Jefferson County Commissioners met in regular session this date with Lyall Arey and Bertil Kruse being present. Commissioner George Huntingford atten- ded a meeting in Olympia. Mr. Robert Hiller of Nordland appeared relative to having County Commissioners take over a road near his property so that the Puget Sound Power and Light Co. would put a power line in to several resident s in that area. The Board was agreeable providing the petitioner would give the county a deed for the right of way. This being the time advertised for opening bids on a wagon drill and air compressor, the following bid was received: Columbia Equipment Company, 1 only used LeRoi 315 duo ft. air compress- or mounted on 4 steel wheels, Serial #RXL-1674l0. 1 only used Model FM - 3 Ingersoll Rand Wagon Drill serial No. 11617 f.o.b. Seattle, Washington, $2,965.00 plus tax. Upon motion made by gmmr~ Bertil Kruse, seconded by Lyall Arey, the above bid was accepted. Minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved as read. Lee Martin of Qui1cene appeared before the Hoard relative to licensing a music machine and shuffleboard at his Whistling Oyster Tavern. Pinball machines are covered by Plattner Amusement Company license, and no license is required for music and shuffleboards. A correction was filed for the Dedication of the Plat of Paradise Bay Estates. The Board signed the corrected dedication. In order to transfer funds to Flood Control Fund, Resolution 1~0. C-261 for Rilprapping the Hoh River Bank was signed as follows: I I RESOLUTION NO. C-261. WHEREA~, Jefferson County Flood Control Department proposes to protect the banks of the Hoh River with rip-rap to protect the county roads and adjoining properties from floods; thereby eliminating the need of the Jefferson County Road Department to protect their swinging bridge across the Hoh River in Section 22, TownS-lip 26 North, Range 13, Wi., W.M. WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners for Jeffer30n County has found and deter- mined that the sum of $2,567.28 is an estimated amount of contribution to the cost of the improvement and, in proportion to the benefits to be derived therefrom, THEREFORE, pursuant to the provisions of section 85.24.240, R. c. W., the Treasurer of Jefferson County, be am he is authorized and empowered to transfer from the COUNTY ROAD FUND to the JEfFERSON COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL FUND the sum of $2,567.28. ADOPTED this 4 day of April, 1955.
