RELATING to the issuance of permits for the construction or alteration of buildings or structures; providing for fees therefor; provLdLn6 for exceptions; and for transmittals of copies of such permits to the county as~es~or. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS Of JEFFERSON COUNTY AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. No person, firm or corporation shall hereafter erecl." cnnst.ruct, enlarge, shore, l1nd~r[JIn, re[>i.iir, Improve, conver't" ,)r other,...tse alter any building or structure in this county for whi ch the value of the materials exceeds five hundred dollars without first obtaining a separate building permit for each suc~ building or structure from the county Auditor; Provided, That there shall be exempted from the requirements of this orrUnanc.:: b:.dhii::~5 ,)r structures lyinJ /(j tlIin ::t~1 .Lncoqlllratel city or town within this County which already requires such permits. Section 2. To obtain a permit the applicant shall fill out a blank permit. form to be supplied by the county Audi tor. The applicant shall include thereon; (A) The permittee's name and address. (b) A legal description of the property on which the building or structure is located or will be located. (c) A general description of the nature of the proposed wort. (d) ~he estimated value of the materials to be used in the proposed work. The permit form may be signed by the permitt.ee, or his authorized agent who may be required to submit evidence to indicate such authority. Section 3. Prior to issuance of the permit the accuracy of the legal description included thereon shall be verif'ied by the county Auditor. Upon payment of a fee of one dollar the county ;-,uditor shall. sign the permit and shall issue the original thereof to the applicant. Section 4. The County Auditor shall promptly transmit a copy of the permit to the county assessor, Dnd shall a.lso transmit a COjJY to the county engineer. Section 5. If any section or portion of this ordinance is for any reason held invalid or unconstitutional by any court of competent juri5diction, such section or portion shall be deemed a separate provision of this ordinance and such holding shall not affect the v<l.lidity of the remaining portions of this ordinance. Section 6. All ordinances or parts of ordinanees inconsistent or in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 7. An EF license was issued to Myrtle Van Dvke and Walter A. Fuller and HazHl N. ~uller. d/b/a Queetu Motel, Clearwl1ter, Washington. ' The Cotton Engineertng CorporHtion was informed by the County Engineer that work on the bridge across the Little Quilcene River Rnd Chimacum Creek is conaiderably behind schedule, and that off'lcial completion date is July 7,19,5. The gradilli; work fOT' the approaches for these bridees will be comp:ete before that, time nnd the county t~l rlanni.ng on having these bridges in aervice by that date.
