In the matter of requesting that Hif11way No. 101 from Discovery Bay via Port !owns0nd
to '.'lhidbey Island and Deception Pass Bridge, in the vicinity of Mount Vernon, be extended

For the purpose of bank protp.et.ion on the BiG Quilcene River, using rip-rap to protect
County roads and adjoinIng property from floods, Resolution No. C-278 was siGned as follows:
RESOLUTION NO. C-278
11'lHEREAS, Jefferson County Flood Control Department proposes to protect the banks
of the Big Qui leene River with rip-rap to protect the county roads and adjoining properties
from floods; thereby eliminating the need of Jefferson County Road Depa rtment, to protect
their roads by rip-rap.
WHEREAS the Board of County Commissioners of Jefferson County has found and determined
that the sum'of $2,078.60 is an estimated amount of contribution to the cost of the improve-
ment and, in proportion to the benefits to be derived therefrom,
THEREFORE, pursuant to the r::rovisions of section 85,24,240 R. C. 1tl., the TREASURER
OF JEFFERSON COUNTY, he and he is authorized and empowered to transfer from the COUNTY
ROAD FUND to the JEl<'FERSON COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL FUND the sum of $2,078.60.
ADOPT~ED th~s 3 day of Oct. 1955.

Superior Court Judge Max Curch to attend an annual conference of Superior Cot:rt. Judges
of the State of IN'ashington at Yakima9 Washington,
. And WHEREAS, there are no funds in the Superior Court budget for compens::lting t.his
officer for his expenses, and

THEREF'ORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that. there be, and hereby is appropriated the sum of
