The Honorable Board met in regular session with all members present.
This bei ng the time set for hearing on pet! tion for 1facation of 10th Avenue in
Plat of 7th Ave. Acre Tracts, Irondale, George Huntingford made a Motion seconded by
Bertil Kruse~ that the street be vacated upon petition illad by Melvin Kivley, Anna M.
Kivley, Abe ~. Virginia and Myrtle Virginia, there being no objections to the matter and
Glenn Abraham appearing with Mr. Abe:E. Virginia, the Board members signed the Order of
Vacation as follo~s: '
ORDER OF VACATION
This matter having come on to be 'heard this date upon the petition of Melvin Kivley,
Anna M. Kivley, Abe E. Virginia and Myrtle Virginia, for an order VACATING:
That portion of Tenth Avenue in the Plat of
Seventh Avenue Acre Tracts, as per plat recorded
in Volume 2 of Plats, on page 127, records of
Jefferson County, 'LYING BETWEEN tracts 161 and
162 of said Seventh Avenue Acre Tracts, and
, NORTHERLY of the r'1g.l1t of way of the existing
County Road leading to Irondale; situate in the
County of Jefferso,n, State of Washington;
and it a.ppearing to the Board of County Commissioners for Jefferson County that notice
of hearing on the sai~ petition was given by posting for the time and in the manner
provided by law; no person or persons appearing to object, and said Petitioners being the
sole owners of all property abutting upon the said portion of said streets sought to be
vacated,

County Road leading to Irondale; Situate in the
County of Jefferson, State of Was~ington

Marcus Larsen appeared and requested a cattle underpass on the highway near his
property on the Port Ludlow road. Th~ me~bers of the Board will view the road during the
noon hour.
George Huntingford made a request' that the County Engineer give a report on 'c.he
status of the Owl Creek road in the We'st End of the County, as to whether. it is a County
road or privately owned.
George Huntingford requested that' the old road at the Huelsdonk Bridge be bladed and
kept open for trafflc. '
A supplementary Road Budget was presented to the Board for necessary conatl~ction in
1956 in amount of $166.,5M.91., September 17th at 10:00 A. M., was fixed for hearing the
Supplementary Budget.
Minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved as read.
It is necessary to hold a public hearing on thG matter of a garbage dump neD-I' Port
Ludlow and upon motion made by George Huntingford, seconded by Bertil Kruse, a hearing
will be held October 15th at 10:00 A. M., for the purpose of setting aaide a tract of
land triangular in form lying b8tween the Swansonville road as surveyed, located and built
over and acr088 the WA'of the SW~ of Soc. 5, T. 28 N R 1 E W, M. nnd the old County road,
containing approximately 1 acre more or less, for the use of residents in and around the
Port Ludlow area.
