This be ing the time for he~ring on the proposed garbage dump near Port Ludl ow and Mrs.
Avery Hurd, Mrs. Ida hinton and Richard Toepper appeared. No objectIons being presented,
CFeorge Huntingford made a motion, seoonded by Bertil Kruse, that the following tract of
land near Swansonvllle de~cribed as being triangular in form lying between Swansonville
Road as surveyed, located- and bui-1t over and across the W~ of the SW~ of Sec. 5, T 28 N,
R 1 E., W. M., and the old County road, containing approximately 1 acre, be set aside as
a garbage dump. No car bodies or dead animals are to be dumped on this site.
A noticewas received from the U. S. Army Engineers that an application was received
for permit to install a low voltaee submarine cable extendIng from Whitney Point 6000 ft.
into Dabob Bay, with area restricted against vessels, anchorIng or towing a drag of any
ki nd .

and extension of license for Becker's Ocean Resort, Inc., Kalaloch Lodge, Kalaloch, Wash.,
from October 1, 1956 to December 31, 1956.
The members of the Board eroceeded to the County Treasurer' B offi.ce and counted too
cash and found the amount ~f '894.66 to be correct for cash on hand in the office. The
Treasurer's repor twas signe d by the Board mem bfl rs.
In conne ction wi th Flood Control on the Hoh Rive r, a motIon was made by George
Huntingford, I.ljconded by Berti 1 Kruse, that an easement be accept ed from Rayonier, Inc.,
for rip rap pHaite for N.W~ NW~ See. 8 T. 27 N. R 12 W W.M., for tha purpose of main-
taini ng ita privata road across Secs. 7, 8 and l~ all in Township 27 North Range 12, W.

In connoction with ,the above Flood Control work an agreement was signed by the Board
on bank protectIon and rip rap on the Hoh River, between the StHLo Flood Control nnd the
County of Jafferson for $39,100.00, 40% of which is to be reImbursocl by the Stl.\l,eFlood
Control Board.
