Monday November 5, 1956.
The Honorable Board of Jefferson County Commissioners met in regular session with all
membe rs present.
Mr. Fred Towle of Nordland appeared regarding East Beach Park at Nordland. More funds
will be needed for upkeep for 1958, as there is considerable work to be done at that site.
M.i.nutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved as read.
Bills were examined and approved as follows:

The afternoon was spent on inspection of the Quilcene-Center road under con structl'm.
Friday, November 9, 1956.
The Honorable Board of County Commissioners met in regular session with all members
present.
A motion was made by Bertil Kruse, seconded by George Huntingford that bids be
called for a four door, 8 cylinder sedan, 1957 model with heater, for use of the
County Road department, according to speciflcations prepared by the County Engineer.
A motion was also made by Bertil Kruse, seconded by George Huntingford that bids be
called for a Pull grader for use on County Highways, according to specifications
prepared by the County Engineer.
A discussion arose concerning pest control on garbage dumps in the County. A motion
was made by George Huntingford, seconded by Bertil Kruse that Paramount Pest Control
be discontinued December 31, 1956 for service on Chimacum ani Quilcene Garbage Dumps,
due to vermin on the Quilcene dump.
Board members conferred with various county officials and residents on the County
until recess at 4:00. p.m.
Monday, November 19, 1956.
~ne Honorable Board met in regular session with all members present.
The County Engineer appeared and presented specifications for a 1957 model, 8 cylinder
car for use of the Engineer's force and for 1 pull grader for use on County Hi~ways,
and bids will be opened at 10:00 A. M., December 3, 1956 for both of the ~ove pieces of
equipmsnt.
The Engineer conferred with the Board members on various maintenance projects on
the Co:mty roads, and Board members proceeded to view several county highways wi th
theEngineer during the afternoon.
The Board recessed to meet in re~lar session on December 3, 1956.
