WASHINGTON THIl I.KADI" co. Monday, December 3, 1956. The Honorable Board met in regular session at 10:00 A. M., with all members present. This being the time set for opening bids for a 1957 Mouel Sedan for' use of t.he County Road Department, the following bids were l'eceived: Buhler Motor Co., 1957 Chevrolet with automat1 c transmIssion $1,727.00 wi th turn in. At l:JO p.m. George Huntingford made a motion, seconded by Bertil Kruse that the biel of the Olympic Garage and Equi.pment Company be accepted for a 1957 Plymout:, Sedan with aut.omptj c transmisoion in amount of $1,6e9.JH. It was also the time advertised for opening bids on a pull grader for use on the County Hie;hways and the following bids I"ere received. Airmac, Inc., Gledhill Model SO $2,973.J3 (This doe s not meet specifi cat,ionE:) I Western Tractor bnd Equipment Co. Adams Model No. 104 $4, ~95 .00 Western Tractor and Equi.pment. Company bid is in accordcmce with specifications and a motion was made by Bertil Krase, seconded by George Huntin~ford tbat the bid of ~estern Tractor and Equipment Company be accepted in the amount of $4,495.00. A letter I,ras recei veri from Mrs. Mary Brown, Secretary for the Sequim Chamber of Commerce reporting on condition of the road from Forks to the Rain Forest. A motion was made by GeorgE: Huntingl'ord, seconded by Bertil Kruse, to have the County Engineer reply to the letter stating what work is contemplated on the road. A copy of the agreement signed by the Board members with the Tax Commission for Aerial pictures of Jefferson County was received. Jefferson County Real Estate contract No. 599 with W. J. Burton is in default after the purchaser having been duly notified, and at the request of the County Treasurer the contract is cancelled. County Real Estate contract No. 605 with William R. Richardson, was reported in default, and County Treasurer Sigurd Swanson requested the Boerd to cancel same. County Contract No. 644 with Frank O. White is also in default and at the request of Treasurer Sigurd Swanson the Board ccmcelled same. A letter was received from the Olympic National Forest Supervisor, advisin[; the Board that Jeffer::on County's share of the Federal Forest l<'und s for 1957 will be $578,381.$6, for use of County Roads and Schools. ~ A call for bids for gasoline for use of the County during 1957 was made for December 17 at 10:00 A.
