The Honorable Board of Jef~erson County Commissioners met in regular session ~th
all members present.
A letter was received from the Jefferson County Fire Protection District No.1, stating tha
stating that J. T. Lay resigned asFire Commissioner due to his removal from the County,
and recommending that W. O. Westergaard be appointed as Commissioner in his place. Upon
motion made by George Huntingford, seconded by Bertil Kruse, W. O. Westergaard was named
asCommissioner to fill the vacancy.
The bond of Ronald'Wilder, Jefferson County Engineer, was approved by the Board.
In conformance with agreement made on February 18, 1957, a Resolution was signed with
a deed to the State Forest Board conveying l63.82 acres of land situated on Skidder Hill
in this County, more particularly described as Lots 2,3,4, and SW~ NEk, Sec. 3, T. 28 N.,
R 2 West W. M.
Land application for Abe Virginia was approved for part of Lots 1-3 Block 92 of
Irondale, offered $5.00.

The Honorable Board met in regular sessi on at 10: 00 A. M., wi th all members present.
This being the time advertised for opening bids on clearing, gruhbing, grading and
surfacing .81 miles of County Road No. 20-1.45 (Lindsay Hill Section), the following bids
were re cei ved:

Bids to be considered at 2:00 p.m., and at that time, upon motion made by George
Huntingford, seconded by Bertil Kruse, the bid of Bass Constnction Co., in amount of
$19,719.00 was accepted.
A land applica.tion was approved for Mrs. W. D. DeMers,- fir & Q Sts., Port Townsend,
for Pettygrovo's park, Lots 1-8- Block 7, offered $lOO.Ou.
For the purpose of grading, draining and surfaei ng the Quilcene-Center road, (Giles
ttanch Section), Resolution No. C-323 was signed as follows:
