Lovell/and Mr. Vincent of Pen Ply, were present concerning the West end road at Hoh River. Pen Ply Corporation proposed to build a continuation of the road on the north side of the Lower Hoh River to eliminate a suspension bridge, and to turn it over to the County for the sum of $60,000.00. This to be completed by the end of 1958. The members of the Board decided to make a trip to the West End of the County to view the road and see if the residents had any objections to the plan if. it is feasible. Recess at 4:00 p.m. Monday, March 18, 1957. The members of the Board met in regular session with all members present. For the purpose of completing power lines over Access Road 2SF-AR35-1 near Fulton Creek! Jefferson County, for Bonneville Power Administration, an easement was signed over Uounty land described as follows: the NW~ NE~ of Sec. 29, T. 25 N., R 2 W of Willamette Meridian. ~ I The Board members signed a contract form with Homer 11.. Hadle~ for preparing engineering plans and specifications for the proposed Lake Leland Bridge at 7~% of the contract price. While work is being done on the Clearwater Bridge, an agreement was signed with Rayonier, Inc., to use its road through Sec. l:J., T. 2l~, R 13 W., W. M., by motion made by George Huntingford, seconded by Bertil Kruse and unanimously carn,ed. The 1% real estate sales tax ordinance is due to be date for hearing on the proposed Ordinance for 1957 will re-enacted May 1, 1957 and the be April 15, at 10:00 A. M. Road Dept., April 15, 1957, Lars Anderson will retire from the Jefferson County as he has passed the age of 70 years.
