George Robbins given sole authority to move the old cars from the Chimacum-Hadlock
garbage dump, by motion made by George Huntingford, seconded by Bertil Kruse.
A call for bids was made for April 15, 1957 at 10:00 A. M., by motion made by
George Huntingford, seconded by ~ertil Kruse for 1 dump truck in accordance with specifi-
cations drawn up by the County Engineer.
A call for bids for April 15, 1957 at 10:00 A. M., was made for 1 station wagon
in accordance wi th s peci!i cations draw.\up by the County Engineer on motion made as above.
A call for bids was also made for April 15, 1957 at 10:00 A. M., for rebuilding
the southern approach and redecking the remainder of the Quests RiVE!'Bridge on the
Clearwater Road No. 206, in acardance with specifications drawn up~by the County Engineer.
Motion made by George HuntingEQrd, seconded by Bertil Kruse.
The Engineer reported that he is going to probe for gravel in back of the Chimacum
Garbage dump on land put up for sale by Ronald Putas. He also reported an old abandoned
well will be filled in, which is near that location.
Don Morrison, Health Dept., requested the Board to contact the Health Dept. when
plats are presented to the Board for approval to have sanitation and health factors
investigated. .
A delegation of West End county residents appeared to request information on the
progress of the Hoh river road. Chas Barlow, Chas. Anderson, Harold Gronseth and Geo.
Charlton appeared. No action taken.
Minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved as read.
The Board requested permission from the State Retirement Board to employ Lars
Anderson until April 15, 1957.
The co~ract with the Bass Construction Co., Inc., for the grubbing grading and
surfacing of .al miles of County Road No. 20- 1.45 (Lindsay Hill Sectionl was signed
and the bond approved.
A resolution for the employment of Lars Anderson until April 15, 1957 in the County
Road.Dept. was si~ed as follows:
RESOLUTION NO. C-324.
WHEREAS, the Board of Jefferson County Commissioner5 has given due consideration
to the employment of Lars Anderson, Blade man in the County Road D~partment, who is past
the retirement age, and finds that it is necessary for the efficIent operation of hin
Department to continue his service for a period until April 15, 1957 to train a man for
his replacement.
NOl'l THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Lars Ander30n be cont.inued in eMployment until
April 15. 1957.
ADOPTED this 1st day of April, 1957.
