Friday, April 5, 1957.
The members of the Board met in regular session at 10:00 A. M., with all members
present.
Mr. Bass of the Bass Construction Company appeared and informed the Board his
company would start work on the Lindsey Hill road contract Monday, April 8, 1957.
The Board conferred with Sheriff Miles Brown on the appointment of a new Civil
Defense Director. No appointment made at this time.
A request was signed for the employmont of Lars Anderson of the County Road
Department to comply with regulaftions of the State Retirement Board.
The Board members accompanied the Engineer to view certain roads in the County.

This being the time for opening bids on rebuilding the southern approach and
redecking the remainder of the Queets River Bridge on theClearwater road, Co. Road No.
206, the following bids were received:

George Huntingford made a motion, seconded by Bertil Kruse to have the engineer check
the bids before awarding the contract, at 1:00 p.m.
Bids were opened as follows for a dump truck -

Bertil Kruse moved, seconded by Geo. Huntingford, to look bids over on the dump
truck and award bid at 2:00 p.m.
Bids were opened for a Station Wagon as follows:
Buhler Motor Co., 2 door 6 cyl. Chevrolet Station Wag~n, including sales tax
$1995.00.
A motion made by George Huntingford, seconded by BertH Kruse to accept the bid of
Buhler Motor Company for the Chevrolet Station Wagon in amount of $1995.00 including
tax and to meet specifications as advertised.
Mr. Walter Moa appeared and submitted plans for tho Moa Road in Tax No. 27 & 31,
J, E. Burns Donation Claim, Sec. 24 T. 29 N., R 2 W W.M. 'rhe County is agreeable to
constructing a road at that location.
George Huntingford made a motion, seconded by Bortil Kruse that the plan be
accepted. Mr. Moa submitted a deed to tho County for' that proporty.
The members of the Board proceeded to the Treasurer's office to county cash. The
amount on hand in the office of $?03.42 wao found to be corr(~ct. The Trollourer'a
report ehowing ."4,445.53 in cnoh on hand April. 1st was signod by tho Board mombors.
An cpplicD.tion for oalo of County Property was approved for Wm. LouIs Anderson,
Route 1, Port Townsond for Irondalo Lots 15 to 24 inclusive, Block 19, offored $50.00.
A oall f~ bids was made for May 6, 1957 at 10:00 A. M.. for 1 portable screening
plant in accordanco with spocifications drawn by by the County Engl.neer.
