RESOLUTION NO. C-327
A RESOLUTION of the Board of County Commissioners for
Jetftlrson County providi ng for the sale of
certain timber, standing and down, upon lands
and premises belonging to s aid county, com-
monly known and designated as "County Airport", and
directing a public hearing as to the pro-
priety and adviaabi 11 ty the reof .
WHEREASt the weak financial conditJon of the Current Expense Fund of Jefferson
County challenges this Board of County Commissioners, as fiscal agent of the county, to
find and ferret out all taxable resources, and
WHEREASt the timber, standing and down upon the following described real estate,
owned in fee by Jefferson County and not acquired through tax foreclosure, if presently
sold, the proceeds from such sale would give temporal'y relief to the sorry warrant
position of said Current Expense Fund, and provide an asset for future assessment and
taxation, now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVEDt and said Board of County Commissioners for Jefferson County, does
hereby propose to sell, all of said timber, standing and down, upon the following described
real estate in Jefferson County, State of Washington, to-wit:
That pQrtion of the South ~ of Section 28 and the
North, or Section 33 Township )0 North, Range 1
West of the i'lillamette Meridian, aescribed as fol-
lows: Beginning on the North line of Section 33
Township 30 North, Range 1 West, Willamette Meri-
dian, at a point North 890 55' 28" West, 799.22
feet from the Northeast corner of said Section 33;
thence South 00 27' 30" West, 1242.54 feet; thence
North 880 03' West, 3351.9 feet; thence North 2008' 30"
East 1862.5 feet; thence South 8?o 36' East to South-
westerly line of County Road; thence Southeasterly
along said Southwesterly line to the North line of
said Section 33 Township 30 North, Renge 1 West,
Willamette Meridianj thence Soutp 89 55' 28" East
to point of beginning and containing 128.54 acres,
more or less, except right. of County road;

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Board will meet and convene at 10:Oq O'clock A. M.,
Monday, May 20, 1957, at the Commissioners' Room in the Court House, Port lownsend,
Washington, for the purpose of hearing evidence and taking testimony, should any be
offered, as to the propriety and advisability of making such proposed sale, and the terms
and conditions with respectto severance and removal of the standing timber thereon, and
that the County Auditor give notice hereof by publication in the Port Townsend Leader
at least once a week for the term of four weeks, and post a like notice in a conspicuous
place in the Jefferson County Court House for the same length of time.
ADOPTED this 15th day of April, 1957.
