George Huntingford made a motion, soconded by Bertil Kruse to examine the bids
and ascertain if they meet with ~ecifications, at 3:30 p.m.
Motion made by Bertil Kruse, seconded by George Huntingford that the bid of Totem
Equip.ment Company on 75 AG Mdchigan Loader at $12,645.00 plus sales tax, with discount
of 5~ be accepted. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Oeorge Huntingford, seconded by BertH Kruse to postpone
this meeting until Friday, May 24th for awarding bid on roller.
Albert Robinson and Harvey Christian appe~red with the County Engineer and
reported on the oiling program for 1957.
Relative to sale of timber on the Jefferson County Airport, the following order
was signed:
ORDER
This matter came on to be heard this day upon Resolution No. C-327, adopted
April 15, 1957, proof having been made that notice of this hearing has been given by
the Auditor for Jefferson County by posting and publication for the time and in the
manner provided by law, and no objection having been made or filed with respect to the
proposal of sale of the timber upon the lands and premises described in said resolution
and in said notice, this Board does now find and determine that the sale of said
timber is in the public interest and should be made, therefore, it is
ORDERED:
That the County Auditor give notice of the time and place of hearing of the sale
as herein ordered in the manner prescribed by section 4008, Remington's Revised Statutes
of Washington, and it is further
ORDERED:
That said notice of sale shall contain a provi sion that the same shall be for
cash; that the minimum price shall be $7500.00, and that said timber shall be removed
within two years upon delivery of bill of sale.

The Board was called to order with George Huntingford cmd Lyall Arey appearing,
and by motion made by George Huntingford, seconded by Lyall Arey, the bid of Totem
Equipment Company was accepted for the 10 ton Huber-Warco Road Roller $6,500.00
less tr&de-in Welcn Roller 750.00
less trade-in Patching roller 250.00
Plus sales tax, Bid
$5,500.00.
No further business appearing, the members of the Board recessed to meet in regular
seasion on Monday, June 3, 1957.
