The Honorable Board of Jefferson County Commissioners met in regular session with
all members present.
The minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved as read. .
The Clerk presented and read letters from the law firms of Helman, Mickelwaite,
Marion, Black and Perkins, and from Wilson & Chamberlin, requesting that the time limit
for the delivery of certain deeds to the County under the sales agreement of June 3,
1957 concerning the Hoh River Road, be extended from July 1st to July 15th.
Upon motion of George Huntingford, seconded by Bertil Kruse, the extention request
was granted and the matter continued to the next regular meeting date of the BOard,
July 15th.
Renewals of liquor licenses were approved as follows:
C. V. Dorothy, Brinnon, EF
Lloyd Ernest MCMillen, et ux, d/b/a Gert & Mac's Groc. R2 Quilcene,
Corinne E. Burns and Raymond E. Burns, d/b/a Trails' End Tavern, So.
Ferry Dock, Shine, Rl Chimacum,
Sheriff Miles BrO\m reported on the sale of the timber on the
connection with Resolution No. C-327, which was held at 11:GO A. Mo, on
1957. Crown Zellerbach Corporation was the only bidder and offered the
of $7,500.00. The Sheriff delivered a bill of sale following the sale.
The Preli{!iinary Road program for 1958 was presented to t he Board in amount of
$796,190.40, as follows:

Mr. John Roske of Port Townsend requested permission from the Board to dismantle
an old building on propertrr owned by the County described as Lots 2 and 4 in Blook 38,
Original Townsite of Port rownsend. Upon payment of $1.00 the Board granted permission
for him to tear down the building for the used lumber, the site to be left in a clean,
neat condition.
The Board recessed to meet as a Board of Equali~atlon.

Engineer disoussod road matters with the Board members.
An applioation for County land was approved as follows:
R. E. Kelley, 841 Market St., Seattle, Wash., Lots 1-8 Block 130 Irondale,
offered $44.00.
