I The Honorable Board of Jefferson Count)' Commissione rs met in regular session with all members present. Minutes of the last regular session were read and approved a3 read. An agreement was signed wi th the Park Servi ce for maintenance on the Hoh River Road in the Olympic National Park. Mr. Edward B. Chapman appeared for \~estern Generctl Construction Company, before the Board relative to his oontract on the Quilcene-Center road which was not completed in time specified in his contract. The amount of the bill is $1,231.17, due to the State of Washington as damages for delay. George Huntingford moved and Bertil Kruse seconded the motion tha t Western General Construction Company pay the State of' '.'Jashington the amount of damages in accordance with the statement of Ronald Wilder, County Engineer. Motion approved unanimously. Mr. William Haieh, State Patrol, appeared before the Board requesting that the Adelma Beach Road south of Adelma Beach be relocated due to summer traffic and pedestrian traffic which has to cross the road to get to the beAch. The chairman stated a survey will be made to see if this is feasible. A letter was received from the State Division of Medical Care advising the Board that in cases of commitment to a Mental Hospital, if the patient's estate or relatives are not able to pay court costs and costs of clet,enti on in hospHEiI pending proceedings, the County will have to bear such costs and costs of' transportation to the State 110;-;pi tal beginning January 1, 1958. . A letter was received from the Division of Municipal Corporations stating the atlocation of current State school funds are to be deposited by County Treasurer for the County Superintendent's budgets for use of common schools, and to be expended on vouchers by warrants drawn by the County Auditor.
