The Honorable Board of Jeffer~on County Commissioners met in regular sasuion mth
all members present.
This being the time for opening bids on a truck, the followl.ne bids were r'eceivad
for a dump truck in accordance with specificat.lons:

A motion made by Bertil Kruse, seconded by George Huntingford, postponed the award-
ing of bins to 2:00 p.m. to allow for study of bids. At 2:00 p.m. George Huntingfll70a
moved, seconded by Berti1 Kruse that the low bid of Buhler Motor Company be accepted,
and the truck to be inspected by Engineer Wilder to be sure it meets with specifications.
It was later discovered with the bid did not meet specifications and the bid was
rejected, and a ~ew call for bids will be made at a later date.
This also being the time for opening bids on radio equipment, the foUowing
bids were received:

TRANSFER RESOLUTION AND REQUEST FOR THE DIRECTOR OF HIGHWAYS TO PERFORM CERTAIN WORK

Before the Board of County Commissioners of Jefferson County, Washington.
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissione rs that the Director of
Highways is requested and permitted to process plans and adverti se for bids on County
Road peoject No. 167, County Road No. 18 (Chimacum-Center Road) I Federal Aid Secondary Route
No. 496 for grading, draining and surfacing, to the amount of six hundred and no/lOa
(t600.00) Dollars, being an amount not in excess of the amount of money now credi tad or
reasonably antic.Lpated to accrue to Jefferson County in the Motor Fehicle Fund during
the 1957-1959 biennium and
IT IS HEREBY FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Stat.e Auditor is authorized to reserve to the
credit of Jefferson County an amount tlc,>t to exceed the above specified sum for the use
of the Director of Highways, and upon presentation of a statement of cost, which r.mclude3
all labor, equipment, material" suppUes and enginecrinE:' by the Director of Hlf,hways
(a copy of which will be sent to Jef.feniOn County at the completion of the job) to the State
Auditor, the Stat.e Auditor is direfted and authorized to transfer the above mentioned
reserved credit from Jefferson County to the creM t of the Oepartmen t of Hlghwnys in
accordance with Cha,."Oter $2, Session Laws of 1943.
