C-375 WHE:REAS, the Board of Count)' Commlssioners of Jefferson County deems it necessary to construct rock rip-rap bank protection and other work along the Big Quilcene River in Sectlon 24, Township 27 North, Range 2 West, W. M. NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved that sald work be J)erformed by day labor or contract. and that payment for said work will be made from the Flood Control Fund of Jefferson County, anticipatlng reimbursement for said river improvement of 40% or more of the cost of the work from the State Flood Control Funds in accordance with Chapter 43, Laws of 1949 as amended; said project to be desienated as Flood Control Project No. 1 of 1958. The estimated cost of the project is $21,125.00. ADOPTED thls 5th day of Sep t. 1958. C-376 WHEREAS, on July 2, 1958, there was filed with the Auditor of Jefferson County, a petition for the purpose of fonnlng a fire district under the provisions of R. C. W. 52.04.010 et seq., and said Audi tor having found and determined that said petition contains a sufficient number of signatures of qualified persons, and having attached thereto her certificate of sufficiency and on August 4, 1958 transmitted the same to the Board of County Commissioners, and said Board havlng then and there, by resolution entered upon their minutes, fixed Friday the 5th day of September, 1958, at the hour of 11:00 o'clock A. M. of said day at the Commissioners' Room in the Jefferson County Courthouse, Port Townsend, Washington, as the time and place for the hearing of said psti tion, and WHEREAS, at said time and place said petition came on for hearing, proof having been made to the satisfaction of this Board that Notice hereof has been given for the time and ln the manner provided by law, and no objectlon having made or filed, the Board proceeded to hear the petition and upon conclusion, makes t.he following findings: 1. That the lands des eri be d in the pe ti tio n will be conducive to publi c safety, welfare, and co nvenien ce and should be granted. 2. The name and number of t.he district shall be JEFFERSON COUNTY F'IRE PROTECTION DISTRICT No.2, and that the boundaries thereof shall be and are determined as follows: Begin: Section corner common to Sections 6 and 7, T. 28 N., R 1 W., and sections 1 and 12, T. 28 N., R 2 W, south on section 11ne for 5 sections, thence east on section line for 3 sections, thence south on section line for approximately 2k sections to waters of Dabob Bay, thence southwesterly by water goundary to Olympic National Forest Boundary section Hoo between sections 26 and 35p T. 26 N., R 2 W. thence west to section cor.ner common to sections 26, 27, 34, and 35, T. 26 N., R 2 W., thence north on section line .for 4 sections, thence west on aecti on line for 1 sectlon, .t.hence north on section line for 4 sections, thenca east on section line for 1 sectlon, thence north on section line for a sections, thence east on section line for 2 sections to point. of be gI. nning. 3. That an election be held on Tuesday the 4th day of Nov'3mber, 1958, to detennine whether the district shall be organlzod. The elect,lon shall be, so far as possl ble, called, noticed, conducted and canvassed in the same manner and by the same officials as ia provided for a spec;:ial election ln the county to authorize the issuance of bonds for a county purpose, and all such officials shall have full authority to do all thlnc;s necessary for the purpose of the election. For the purpose of the election, county voting precincts may be combined or divided and redeflned, and the territory In the dist.rict shall be lncibuded in one or more ele ctioI1 precincts as may be deemed convenient llnd they shall be defined and a polllng place for each designated.
