The Honorable Board of Jefferson County Commissioners met in regular session
wi th all members present.
Minutes of the last regular meetine were read and approved as read.
A notice from the State Liquor Board was received stating that Eva Bee West and
James N. West, d/b/a West t'our Corners, Route 2, Port '!'ownse nd, had their EF license
reinstated after suspension from August 17, 1958 to September 30, 1958.
Mr. Neil Pendley representing the Teamsters' Union appeared presenting a new
salary schedule. The matter was taken under advisement.
Robert Allen appeared and desired to buy timber on Sections 20, 29, T. 30 R 1 W.
The Prosecuting Attorney advised that the land must be purchased and not just timber
on County owned land.

Reverend George Poor and Leonard McDaniel appeared relatlve to County owned land
in the NEt, Sec. 11, T. 29 N., R 1 W, which they would like for Church purposes. The
land would have to be put up for public sale at a regularly conducted land sale. They
took the matter for consideration.
The members of the Board set December 5, 1958 at 11:00 A. M., as the time for
opening bids for gasoline, diesel and stove 011 for 1959 for Jefferson County.
A letter was received from Earl J. Dashnier, Route 1, Port 'l'ownsend, requesting
a trade of land near gravel pit at Four Corners. Thls cannot be done, upon advice of
the Prosecuting Attorney.

all members present.
Mr. Robert Brandes appeared before the Hoard with respect to vacation of a portion
of"r,rdner Granted Road" commencing at the southerly line of the old Cemetery Tract
ln t.1e NEt ofSWt Sec. 34, T. 30 N., R2 ~l. w. M., thence in a south\l'ester1y direction
to a termlnation and junction with the Old Cwallam County Road in the SW~ of NW~
Section 3, T. 29 N. R 2 W. W. M. Upon motion of Bertl1 Kruse, seconded by George
Huntingford, a hearing was set for Monday, December 1st at 11:00 A.M. Ronald Wilder
County Engineer, filed his report that the road should be abandoned as it ls grown up
with small trees.

L:ounty Road" ln the southwest quart.er of the
northwest quartur, sect! on 3, township 29
north, range 2 west ~l. M.,
is not in tho public lnterest, and in contemolution of section R. C. W. )6,,87.010,
the 80cal1ed road, as such, is useless.
BE IT RESOLVED, and this Board of County Comrnis:,ioners does nOli declare its In-
tention to abandon sai d road as a public lmprovement, and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, and the County Road Engineer ls hereby directed to examine sald
road and report his opinion as to whether the sume should be abandoned j whothe r the same
is in use or has been 1.n use j the conditloIl of t.he Game and whether it. wl U be advi Deuble
to preserve it; for the county road system ln tho future j wl1other' the publi c wi 11 be
