Mr. Neil Pendley representing the Teamsters' Union eppenred ln regarci to regulations concerning sick leave and vacations for deputil~s Bnd county employees. Hesolutlon No. C-382 was slgned ~s follows: ORDINANCE NO. C-382 AN ORDINANCE of Jeffer'son County creating and establ1shinE; a plan or system with respect to vacations and si ck leave of deputie s and coun~y employees employed on both a monthly and/or per diem or hour'ly basls. ',\'HEREAS, no plan or system has been he.'etofore devised or e stabli shed concerning vaca tions and si ck leaVe of regular! y appointed deputies and county employee s employed on both monthly and/or per diem or hourly bases, and WHEREAS the Board of County Commissioners now desires to resolve itself in wrlting in order'to accomplish the objectives, therefore, THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS fOR JEFFERSON COllNTY does ordain as follows: Section 1. Retroactive, and effective as January 1, 1958, mid in each calendar year thereafter, every regularly appointed deputy and each county employee employed on a monthly basis, sh all be enti tled t.o a vacation, wi thin the parti cular year of ten working days, provided ho'..,ever, t hat effective January 1, 1959, 8?ch reE;1.llc!rly arpointed deputy and county employee employed on a monthly basis '!mo has held such posltion or employment with the county for 8 period of more than ten yeers continueusly, shall hereafter be entitled to vacation of fifteen working flays, it. being the intent and purpose of this ordinance to create an additional fi ve-day vacation privilege to a ten-year continuous employment period. Section 2. Retroactive, and effective as of January 1, 195$, every regularly appointed deputy and each county employee employed on a monthly basis, shall be entitled to sick leave, with pay, of one day per month, provided such leave shall be entitled to accumulate, but such aCcumulation shall not exceed a maximum of 120 days. Section 3. Each county employee employed on a hourly or per diem basis, who shall have worked fifteen hundred hours or more in anyone year, prior to .January 1, ()958, or thereafter, shall be entitled to the same vacRT;ion and sick leave as herein Drovided for deputies and county employees employed on a monthly basis. .
