all members present.

The Board members spent some time in examininE the Budgets for 1960. These will
be finally considered on October 9th.

The Honorable Board of County Commissioners met in regular session with all members
pre Sent.
The matter of having the Sheriff's deputies in uniform was discussed, and upon motion
made by Lyall Arey, seconded by'B~:til Kruse permitting the deputies to be uniformed in
such manner as determined by the Sheriff, Resolution No. C-4l0 was signed as follows:

BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Jefferoon County, and we do
hereby declare it to be a mo.tter of administrative policy that deputy sheriffs of Jefferson
County may be uniformed iri such design and style as determined by the sheriff of Jefferson
County.
ADOPTED this 9th day of October, 1959

The Preliminary Budgets havlng been duly filed with the Board of County Commissioners
on or before September 8, 1959, and wi th the County Auditor on or before the second Monday
in August, 1959, in accordance with the provisions of the 10.\'J I and due noti ce having been
published in the Port Townsend Leader that on the first Monday in Uctober, 1959, the Board
of County Commissioners would meet for the p~~ose above stated, and after hearing with
the various organizations representing taxpayers, and ha~ing heard all matters in connection
with the Budget, it was ordered that tax levie. be set as follows and the following budgets
approved upon motion made by Lyal~ At:cy .~ - -, -. and seconded by BertH Kruse, and unanlmously
carried, and the Resolution adopting smna aigned by the members of the Board. The Current
Expense Budget in the amount of $151,0$9.90, the fin8,]. Road Budget in the amount of
$511,311.52, and the Equipment Rental and Revolving F'und Budget in the amount of $175,500.00.
