The Honorable Board of Jefferson County Commis sione rs met in regular session wi th all
members present.
Minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved as read.
Application for County land was approved aa follows:
Mrs. H. E. Johnson, 314 Polk St. Port '!'ownsend - Al pettygrove' s Add.
Lots 1-4 Block 24, offered

M.l'i. K. M. Murdock, representing Pacific Northwest
Morrison of Morrison Logging Co., appeared relative to
River Road, with gross load of go,Ooo pounds, on which

Mr. Harry A. Cott.on appeared and discussed property to be put up for the next land
sale near Beckett Point. {he Boy Scouts will be contacted before allowing this to be sold
as it is reserved for thei r use if desi red.
Roseville Add. to Quilcene was under discussion as Mr. Arthur Garrett inquired about
sale of same. Blocks 1 to 5 are in the County Gravel pit and cannot be sold. Anything
in Blocks 6-15 can be sold if it is County owned.
Mi'. Rod Downen, Mr. John Martin and Mr. Les Merton representing the Dept. of Natural
Resources appeared wi th a proposition to stop po~ching of cedar products and Xmas trees,
in this County on Forest Board lands, and County o'Nned land. Thls will be considered by
the Board. Continued to Nov. 16th.
A letter of thanks was received from the P. T. Garden Club for assistance in hauling
posts and putting in markers at the City entrance slgn.
An applicatlon from I. D. Logan for sale of property in Junction City was approved _
Lots in Block 1 to 205 - offered $1035.00.
Bids were called for gasoline, diesel and stove oil for December 11th, 1959 at 10:00 A.M.
Resolution No. C-412 for improving County Road No. 90 by widening (Swansonvilled Road)
was signed as follows:

BEFORE 'rHE BOARD OF JEFFERSON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS, S TATE OF WASHING1DN.
In the matter of County Road ) Resolution to improve a portion of
No. 90 (Swansonville) ) County Road No. 90 by widening.
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS that it is their intention to
improve a portion of County Road No. 90, Swansonville, by widening.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT for the foregoing proper county road purpose there is
hereby appropriated sums in the following detail:

The county road purpose herein described is HEREBY DECLARED to be a public necesslty and
the County Road Engineer is HEREBY ORDERED AND AUTHORIZED TO report and proceed thereon
as by law provid~d.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this purpose be performed by day labor in accordance with the
Standard Road and Bridge Specifications of the State of Washington as adopt~d by this Board.

Upon motion made by Lyall Arey, seconded by Bertil Kruse a call for bids was made
for 1 self propelled force feed conveyor belt Wlndrow Loader as per speCifications, to be
opened December 7, 1959.
