TRANSFER RESOLUTION AND REQUEST FOR THE DIRECTOR OF HIGHWAYS TO PERFOR~
CER'l'AIN WORK
BEFORE ~HE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF JEFFERSON COUNTY, WASHINGTON
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED ~i the Board of County Commissioners that the Director of
Highways is requested and permitted to make expenditures as are necessary from~ailab1e
state funds for and on behalf of the County of Jefferson to the extent of four huhdred
seventy-nine and seventy two cents ($479.72) as a part of the County's participating
share and costs in the above mentioned project. .
to the amount of Four hundred seventy-nine and 72/100 ($479.72) Dollars, being an amount
not in excess of the amount of money now credited or reasonably anticipated to accrue to
Jefferson County in the Motor Vehicle Fund during the 1959-1961 biennium and ,
IT IS HEREBY FURTHER RESOLVED, that th", State Auditor is authorized to rese:ve to th,
credi t of Jefferson Coullty an amount not to (lxceed the above specified sum for tne use of!1
the Director of Highways, ~1d upon presentation of a statement of cost. which includes all
labor, equipment, mater:l, all supplies and enginoer:lng, by the Director of Highways ( a COpl
of which will he sent to Jefferson County at the completion of the job) to the Stat~ Jud~~or
the State Auditor is directed and authorized to transfer the above mentioned reserved i:
credit from Jaffer$on Uounty to the credtt of the Department of Highways in accordance wi~h
Chapter 82, Session Laws of 1943. 'i

WHEREAS~ the Department of Highways of the State of Washington, acting as Agent of
and for the tlureau of Public Roads of the Department of Commel'ce of the United States of
America, is desirous of constructing Q Foderal Aid Project, No. F. A. S. -0322 (3) in
Jefferson County, over and across
Lot 1, section 18; Lota 1, 2, J, and h, secti0n 7; ~nd LOt3 5i 6. a~d 7
Section 6; ar.d 1n township 28 north, range 1 east;, W. M. in Jefferson County,
Washington

WHEREAS, the Department of Highways of the State of Washington acting as Agent for
the United States Ruraau of Public Roads, is desirous of roceiving Federal funds for the
improvement of said road, and
WH~REAS, the said Bureau of Public Roads of the Department of Commerce of the United
States of America will not participate in the constrllctian of said road untH and unless
the County of Jefferson will agreo to rofrain from permitting encroachment upon the right
of way of sald above-mentioned road, And until and unhoa thG County of Jefferson will I
agree to rl:lfrllln from paseing resolutions aff'ecting tho free flow of traffic on said:

and unless tha County of Jefferson will agree, by suitablo resolution to adopt the grades !
of ths improvement as the gradofJ of' the countr road that is involved, and agr10e to protect ,i
the State of Washington against any and all c alms for damages on account of any changes ot
grades and the conttruction of this improvoment, and until and unless the County of Jefferson
will agree to maintain said improvement wi thin tho l1mi ts of tho County of Jefferson after il
tho improvement has been cor ?leted' .',
NOW, 'lHEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Jefferson County
that for and in consideratinn of the Department of Highways of the State of Washington and,:
