I The Honorable Board of Jefferson County Commissioners met in regular session with all members present. John R. Meehan and T. L. McCormick of Seattle appeared in regard to the road at Manhattan Beach Tracts. A complete survey will be made on this proposed road this year. A notification was received that the County's share of money received from the City of Port Townsend for right of way for water supply pipel1na over the WASEl, &: SWl,NEk Sec. 4, the NW~SE~ and SWt.NEt Sec. 21 and W!Ek Sec. 2~, all in Twp. 27 N R 2 W, will be $1,153.60. . A letter was received from C. ~. Svinth. Director of Agricul~ura1 Extension Service Pullman, Washington, in appreciation of the County's support for County Agent's office in Port 'l'ownsend. ' Mr. Don Morrison appeared requesting assistance on the County Road near Queets Reservation. Assistance will be giver. with the County equipment. Mr. Lester H. Hall requested an easement over a corner of the County Park at North Beach to construct a sewer line. The Board agreen to grant Mr. Hall an easement, upon mot ion by Lyall Arey, se cond ad by Be rti 1 Krus e. Minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved as read. Mr. Ralph Purvis of Tideland Oil and Gas Corporation discussed leasing l'ands in Leland Valley for oil drilling. These lands are tax title land s and ~an be leased without noti ce in the opinion of W. J. Daly, Prosecuting Attorney. The form of lease wHl be sent to Mr. Daly. The County would receive llg of the total production if oil is found. Mr. Tom Lieb appeared in regard to 1% Real Estate Sale Tax for schools. Sealed bids will be called for March 21st, at 10:00 A. M., upon motion made by Lyall Arey, seconded by Bertil Kruse. An application for sale of County land was approv,ed for NW~ Government Lot 3, Tax No.7 2.24 acres - Walter L. Fairman, Route I, Chimacum, offered $10.00. For the purpose of constructing the Chimacum Beaver Valley Road, the Finance Agreement and Finance Resolution No. C-424 was signed as follows: " ,I . RESOLUTION NO. C-421.
