Monday, June 6, 1960.
The Honorable Board of Jefferson County Commissioners met in regular seasion with all
members present.
Resolution No. C-436 was d'uly advertised" fiXing June 6th, 1960 at lO:OO A. M.. for
declaring an emergency of $.33'6.78 for the taxes due on land to be traded to the State in
exchange for State lands. No one appeared objecting to said emergency and the Board agreed
to declare the emergency for $336.78. '
The minutes or the last regular meeting were read and approved as read. Notices were
received from the State Liquor Board that renewals were requested and approved for:
John Yackulic and Vern Wittmayer, d/b/a Valley Tavern, P. O. Box $6, Hadlock BeEF.
Darcy Eli Collings, d/b/a Village Store, Box 47, Quilcene - E.
Cathrine Sarah Wood - db/a Wood's G~ocery, Box 78, Port Ludlow, E.
Wallace Ulysses Norton - d/b/a Norton's Garpiner Store, Gardiner, EF.
Nina Hathaway & Guy Erwin Hathaway, d/b/a Upper Hoh Store and Cabins Forks, Box 476 - E.
The license issued to Dennis Peter Judge Estate and Anne Gertrude Judge, d/b/a/ Geoduck
Tavern, Brinnon, transferred to Anne Gertrude Judge under same trade name.
· Mr. and Mrs.. Z. V. Kidwell of Brj.nnon appeared and request.ed inforrmtion as to oUinE
the Duckabush Road. This will be done during the summer.
Mr. Leslie K. Larsen of Qullcene appeared relative to Civllian Defense Fire Administra-
tor for th~ Quilcene Area, and Lyall Arey made a motion, seconded by Bertil Kruse that
Leslie K. J..arsen be appointed Civilian Defense Fire Administrator for Jeffer30n COllnty
Fire District No.2. Motion carried.
At 2:00 p.m. bids were opened for one diesel powered tractor which were as follows:
