Monday, August 1, 1960.
The Honorable Board of Jefferson County Commissioners met in regular session with
all members present.
Mr. Perry Hill and Mrs. George Hubbard appeared with a petition from residents of
Shine requesting improvements at Hick'a Park, Shine, and for the installation of' a
cement ramp and bulkhead to be used for launching boats. The County Engineer will run a
survey on the cost of improvements.
A requ'1st was made for a garbage dump at Shi ne. An endeavor will be made to find Ei
location.
, Mrs. Lee l:. Davis appeared and requested loan of some old furni tu re stored in the
liourthouse for the Historical ~1useum. The request was cranted.
Minutes of the last regular meeting were read and a iJproved a3 read.
Mr. Harry A. Cotton appeared relative to the plat of Oce.on C1rove Estates. Roads are
, being built and well digging is in process for a water supply. The Commissioners will
view the property.

The Honorable Board of Jefferson County
all members present.
Mr. Richard Morgan appeared before the Board requesting the Board to request right
of way over State owned land on Coyle Peninsula. The Engineer will request the right-
of way and get estimates of cost. The land owners agree to build the road into their
property if the County can secure the right of way.
Mrs.,vard B. Williams appeared relative to the County
Board for all their help on the grounds.
11:00 A. M. This being the time for opening bids for painting the ~ortage Canal
Bridge, the following bids were received:
