Lyall Arey moved, seconded by Bertil Kruse, that the County Engineer review the bids and report to the Board at 1:30 p.m. At l:30 p.m. the bid of HowardmCooper Corporation, in amount of .14,949.52, for a Mod. H70B Hough Payloader was accepted, upon motion made by Bertil Kruse, seconded by Lyall Arey, as this is the lowest bid meeting the specifications as set out by the office of the County Engineer. . Bills were exalllinad and a pproved as follow~: I Currant Expense Fund County Roads Fire Dist. Nl Fire Diet. /12 Tuberculosis Hospitaliz. Sold6ers' & Sailors' Fund $14,930.93 26,920.72 602.39 197.90 913.50 460.00 I William Glenn appeared before the Board requesting roads to Fort Flagler Park and Fort Townsend Park be repaired. The Engineer will view the roads and see if the repair work can be tied in with the road program. " A notice was received from the Dept. of Natural Resources that the County's share of money received from the Ollie Stamper brush lease will be $96.00. ' Due to the fact that some budgets will not have sufficient funds for necessary expenditures in 1960, Resolution NU. C-452 waS signed for emergencies as follows: RESOLUTION NO. C-452. I WHEREAS, it appears to the Board of County Commissioners for JEFFERSON COUNTY, that the following budgets will not have sufficient funds to maintain them for the year of 1960. due to emergencies which could not have ?een foreseen at the time of preparing budgets. The Honorable Board of Jefferson County Commissioners met in regular session with all members present. A notice was recoived from the U. S.Dept. of Agriculture that the Federal Forest Funds for Jefferson County for 1961 will be .732,58l.23. An application for Philip Sidney Whittemore, d/b/a Westward Hoh, Upper Hoh Road, P. O. Box 476 Forks, for E lifuor license waa approved. (Transfer of license from Guy Erwin Hathawcy and Nina Hathaway.) The members of the Board considered the salaries paid to the County road omployees and Lyall Arey made a motion, seconded br Bertil Kruse, that the hourly paid men be raised 6~ per hour beginning January 1, 196 , the monthly salaries increased by tlO.OO per month except John Stov., $15.00 and Wm. Jansen, t15.00, Ed Becker Engineer .50.00, Harvey Christian $25.00 Wally Bowman $25.00 and Albert Robinson $25.00. fhe Board mem~er8 proceeded into the County to inspect several roads. , Monday, De comber 19, 1960. This being the time advertised for oeening bids tor removal of logs on the ri~t of way of the Coyle Road (Co. Road Project ,205), in Secs. 26 and 35, T. 27N. R 1 W. W. M., the following bide were received. P & L Logging Co., quilcene, .500.00 Cascade Cedar. Co., P. T., Wash. 500.00 Lee Martin, Quilcene, 410.00 .
