At 1100 p.m., Mr. George Simpokes appeared and presented a petition signed by 91
residents of the area near the proposed garbage dump in the Arcadia district. A number
of residents appeared and s poke against the establishment of the dump. Mr. Lyall Arey
explained the conditions pertaining to the establishment of' a dump. Sanitarian Don
Morrison explained the care necessary with a dump. Engineer Becker explained the manner
the fill could be covered as gravel is removed. No action will be taken until a request
is made by the City of Port To\'/Osend for use of the pit as a dump.

functiuns of t he offices to the public. Refreshments will be served during the afternoo~l.
A letter was received from the Clallam County Library requesting $2.00 per person fO~ 56
west end County residents who receive library service from the Forks branc~ bookmobile and
$2.00 per year for 4 residents living in the Gardiner area. They w ill be advised that the
1962 budget has already been adopted and it ,is too late to make fiscal manges. This wi.:n
be considered when the 1963 Budget is approved if their request isreceived by July, 1962~i

Upon motion made by George Huntiugford, seconded by Lyall ArOYl the bid of Jack Germau
for $!.60 per ton is accepted.
A letter was received from the State Dept. of Civil Defense that a Navy Public InfoJ-
mation team will hold a meetine at the Courthouse December l3, 1961 at 11 :00 A. M., for it
the purpose of discussing a community shelter program. d
