A RESoLU'rION of the Board of County Commissioners for Jefferson County,
lfashington, distrt buting and allocating Federal Forest
Reserve monies received by Jefferson County in tho calendar
year 1961.
The Honorable Board of County Commissioners met in regular session with all
members present.

NOtices were received thut the COUNTY's share of monoy received from the Ollie
Stamper brush lease 1121191 \'1'111 be $32.00 and from lease 1/21190, $56.00. . I,
Upon motion by 1yall Arey, seconded by Georgo Huntin::;ford, the Federal Forest funds Ii
in amount of $465,a:n.73 will be d1.stributedin accordance with Resolution No. C-484 I'

WHEREAS, the Jefforson County Treasurer is in receipt of the
sum of $465,833.73 from tho State Auditor of the State of Washington, representing this
county's distributive shure of Federal Foreot Reserve revenues apportioned by the U. s. if
Department of Agriculture during the calendar year, 1961, and pursuant to the stat,ute .ofl'
the Stute of Washington in such cases made and provided, it is now the duty of this Board
of County Commissioners to make proper disposition thereof, and, !I

WHEREAS, this Board of COUNtry COI.IMISSIONERS has given careful consideration:!
to the needs of the county road system, and to the needs of the several school districts;:
of Jefferson County and their necessary administrative requirements, now, therefore, :1

BE IT RESOLVED, and this Board of County Commissioners does hereby order,
allodate, distribute and apportion said sum of $465,833.73 as fo11m~s:

(a) To the COUNT roAD FUND for the maintenance and construction of county Ii
roads during the year 1962, the sum of $232,916.87; il
(b) To the COUNTY CURRENT EXPENSE FUND for the exclusive use of the Super- !I
intendent of Schools during the year 1962, the sum of $6,212.00 for the reason and upon Ii
the ground that the said County Superintendent of Schools is not a county constitutional ::
officer and the duties and operation of said office is one devoted entirely toward the !i
benefit of the public schools, and said sum of $6,212.00 is a sum sufficient to exclusiv~~y
operate the same in 1962; :i
(c) To School District No. 20 (Queets-Cleantater) the sum of $5,000.00 for I:
disbursement in such manner as the Directors of that school may direct; .!
(d) To School District No. 46 (Brinnon) the sum of $.5,000.00 for clisburseme~t
in such manner as. the Directors of that school district may direct; ii
(e) To School Districts of the County, the sum of $210,704.86, the same to If
be apportioned according to attendance in said Districts by the County Superintendent of '!
Schools according to law, as follows: School District No. 20 (Queets-Clearwater) the sum
of $5,223.061' School District No. 46 (Brinnonl, the sum of $5,192.84; School District No.!
