The' Honorable Board of Jefferson County Commissioners met, in regular session with
all members present.
Minutes of the'last regular meeting were read and approved as read.
Renewals for liquor licenses were approved by the Board for the following:
Philip Sidney Whittemore, d/b/a Westward Hoh, Upper Hoh Road, Fork s, Yash. E
Darcy Eli Collings, d/b/a The Village Store P. O. Box 168 Quilcene - E.
Chester Isaac Northup and Mildred Lucielle Northup d/b/a Discovery Bay Tavern, R2,
Port Townsend, BEFi transferred from Robert Harrison Rodgers and Louise Anna Rodgers.
Arthur L. Schu tz and Phoebe Schultz, d/b/a Four COlrBrs Grocery, Route 1, Port
Townsend, EF. '" ,
Lucy S.Reed and Myron C. Reed, d/b/a Reed'S Serve U Market, Box 8, Hadlock EF.
The liceDse issued to Jalmer Dale Clark, d/b/a Whistling Oyster, Box 52 Quilcene,
was _ended to include dancing.
A letter from the Dept. of Natural Resources stated the County's share of money
received for extension of time for removal of timber by Jim Shaw on the SEksEk Sec. 33,
and part SEk Sec. 34, T. &e N. R 1 W., ~ll be $10.80.
Mr. Harry Cotton appeared relative to Ocean Grove Plat No. 3 - and requested the
Commissioners to approve the plat pending the Engineer's approval. The Engineer had
not completed inspection of the roads in the plat, and the Commissioners voted by motion
made by Lyall Arey, seconded by George Huntingford, that this be continued to June 11,
1962 to enable theEngineer to complete his inspection.

This meeting was adjourned at 4:00 p.m. until Monday June 11th to enable the members
of the Board the attend the Commissioners' convention at Longvlew, Washington.

Mr. Glen Cannedy and Mr. George Roates appeared before the Board and presented a
preliminary plat for Snow Creek Ranch. Development at Crocker Lake. The Board, on the
advi ce of Engineer Ed Becker, gave permi5sion for the Company t,o proceed with their plat
in accordance with approval of Sanitarian Don Morrison on sewage and health projects.
Mr. Bruce Howland and Mr. Ed Arness appeared relaM.ve to the roads in the plat of
Tennination Point. George Huntingford made a motion to have the owner of the plat share
50-50 with the County to put black top on the R:I.ckey Beach Drive, about 500' as the road
is not holding up as contemplated. Seconded by Lyall Arey~
. Lyall Arey made a motion, seconded by Gcorge Huntingford, that condemnation proceedings
be started against Stephen Kish and Henry Decker, right of way on mfP#227 in ifest Uncas .

George Huntingford made a mdltion, seconded by Lrall Arey that Hoapi tal donat1,ons may
be made by County employees on a payroll deduction plan, if so desired.
The Board WBot on record to commend the members of the Board of Commissioners of
Hospital District #2, the Sisters of St. John's Hospital, the study group and all citizens
putting forth an effort to secure the new addition to the Hospital.
The Board members, upon motion by Lyall Aroy, Boconded by G0()rge HUlItingfordl decided
to paint and repair the interior of the Courthouse in the amount of' $6,000.00. An em81'gency
will be created by Resolution.
