This being the time set for opening bids- for one used motor Scraper, the following bid was received: Evans Engine and Equipment Co., Inc., 4300 11th Ave. N. 1f., Seattle, 7, Wash. P.O. Box 5172. t13,300.oo tax 532.0~ Total t13,832.00 I Upon motion made by Lyall Arey, seconded by George Hunti~ford the bid of Evans Engine and Equipment Company was accepted in the amount of .13,83~.00. The members of the Board accompanied the County Engineer to Nordland to view the site for a proposed road. Recess at 4:00 p.m. I Monday, August 20, 1962. The Honorable Board of Jefferson County Commissioners met in regular session this date wi th all members present. Mr. DeGroot from Snow Creek Land Company, appeared. A hearing was held on the plat of SllOW Creek, whi ch is continued to September 4th, with the understanding that the requirements of the Health Department are to be met before the plat will be accepted. Mr. Harry A. Cotton appeared and petitioned the Board for permission to grade the upper side of the, roa.d at his property at Adelma Beach, formerly Bru MeI Resort, and fill the lower side for parking area and to construct a boat ramp to the beach. Permission was granted provided the restrictions placed by the County Engineer on crossing the highway, are met and complied with. .: Mr. Stone and Mr. Trowbridge! from the State Highway, Department, appearsd and discussed plans for the Highway intersection of the County Road ,18 and the proposed State SecondarY Highway 9E, near Center. A motion was made by Lyall Arey, seconded by George Huntingford; that the Board approve plan 6 and no other, as detailed in Intersection Study Supplement,), Jefferson County Road FAS497, Sta. 257 ( Center Valley Road), a copy of which was 'present.d to the Board and filed with the County Engineer, and that the Section of State Secondary:' Highway No. 93 be not opened to traffic before and until the grade separation structure has been completed and the new roadway surfaced \ilth not less than a bituminous surface treatment. The Department will be informed of this action. The Board members conferred with various residents of the County on ~undry road problems.
