and that the total expenditure for capital improvements in said plan or budget was
$3,525.00 for the .fi seal year ending 12-31-62 and $1,315.00 for the fiscal year ending
12-31-62.

2. That, in the event that said Federal grant is approved by the United States of
America! said capital improvements plan or capital budget will be ( is hereby) increased
by $20,~50.00 for the fiscal year endin~ 12-3162 and $ for the fiscal year
ending 12-3162 for a total increase of ,20,250.e6 in the proposed or planned total
expenditure for capital improvement projects (exclusive of Federal funds).
3. That said increase in the proposed or planned total expenditure for capital improve-
ment projects is approximately equal to the non-Federal funds required to complete the '
public works project for which the application is to be submitted.
This resolution is adopted pursuant to the authority provided by R.C.W. 36.40.1.1;0.

Mr. Hugh Goldsmith, S. H. Braise and Charles Jennings, for Goldsmith & Associatms
appeared and presented the preliminary plat of Duckabush. Upon motion made by Lyall
Arey, seconded by George Huntingford, the preliminary plat was accepted.
Col. Lester Hall was appointed assistant to William H. Jackson, Civil Defense

The honorable BOARD OF County Commissioners met in regular session with Commissione~s
Kruse and Arey present. Commissioner Huntir~~d was in Seattle with the Engineers on
matters pertaining to the emergency 'funds for an elevator in the Courthouse and two
bridges in the County. '
Mrs. J. A. White of Paradise 'Bay appeared and requested an easement for water line,
located on County property from Lot 17, Blk 10, Unit~, thence Easterly along the northerly
side of Alder to point on lot 11, Blk 13, Unit 1, thence northerly along the westerly side
of Shore Drive to a point on Lot 8, Blk 11, Unit 1, all in official plat of Paradise Bay
Estates, Jefferson County, for LaVoy J. Shepherd and Neoma B. Shepherd, husband, and wife,

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS. That in consideration of the premises, the County of
Jefferson!. a municipal subdivision of the State of Washington, acting by and through its
Board of vounty Commissioners, and pursuant to a motion heretofore adopted by said Board.

PROVIDED HOWEVER, thst the grantees agree to furnish and install galvanized or plastic
pipe to be buried not less t~an fourteen inches unde~ground and to be located approximately
five feet from the property line, and do all that is necessary to keep the line in repair
at all times, md further agree' that at any time it shall be necessary to remove the
installation for road maintenance, road construction, or any other purpose pursuant to
the welfare of the county, the grantees will remove said pipe line at their own expense.
Jefferson County will in no way be liable for any damage caused by the removal or cost
of removal of said pipe line.
