The Honorable Board of Jefferson County Commissioners met in regular session
members present.
Mr. W. B. Maxwell appeared and presented the plat of Cape George Colony, Division
No.5. The Engineering having approved the plat, it was accepted by the Board.
Upon motion mad! br Lyall AreY1 seconded by George Huntingford, the Federal Forest
Runds amounting to ~39 7S4.10 wil be divided 50-50 between roads and schools with
$;,000.00 extra being ;!lotted to Queets and Brinnon schools from the school share.

A RESOLUTION of the Board of County Commissioners for Jefferson County,
Washington, di stributing and allocating Federal Forest.
Reserve monies received by Jefferson County in the calendar
year 1962.
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Treasurer is in receipt of the sum of Ii
$.391,7a4.20 from the State Audi tor of the State of Washington, representing this county 'i~
distributive share of Federal Forest Reserve revenues apportioned by the U. S. Department
of Agriculture during the calendar year 1961, and pursuant to the statute of the State 'il
of WashDggton in such cases made and provi ded, it is now the duty of this Board of Countt
Commissioners to make proper disposi tion:,hbreof, and,

to the needs of the county roaq. system, and to the needs of the several school districts:!
of Jefferson County and their necessary administrative requirements, now, therefore, i:

allocate, distribute and apportion said sum of $391,784.20 as follows: ,
(a) to the COUNTY ROAD FUND for the maintenance and construction of county il
roads during the year 1963, the sum of $195 892.10; :i
(b) To the COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICTS the sum of $195,892.10 to be distribute9:

This being the time set for hearing on Resolution No. C-5l8 for the emergency ex-
penditure of $20,250.00 in Current Expense Fund for the County's share of the cost of
installing an elevator in the Courthouse, and of $2.3,500.00 in the County Road Fund for
the installation of Snow Creek Bridge and Tower Creek Bridge and no persons appearing
objecting to the above expenditures, Lyall Arey made a motion approving same, seconded
by George Huntingford.
For the purpose of authorization for the County Civil nef~nse Director to accept
shelt6r stock supplies, Resolution No. C-526 was signed as follows:

WHEREAS, the Federal, State and local govsrnmmntal units have been requested by
Congross of the United States to cooperate in the National Shel ter Program, Llnd
WHEREAS, the Legislaturo of tho Stato of ~ashington haa direoted the politioal
subdivisions of this state to cooperate in the ~1v1l Defense Program, and
WHEREAS the Federal government has agreed to provide certain IDlelter sUPfliss
stocking com~uni ty shelters and to d etemine by survey sui table shelters
