The Honorable Board of Jefferson County Comissioners met in regular sossion with
all members present.
Minutes of the last regular ssssion were read and approved as read.
Mr. Hugh Goldsmith, Mr. Chas. Jennings and. Mr. S. H. Braise appured with the plat ot
Olympic Canal Addition No.1. Engineer Ed Becker approved the plat, and upon motion ot
Walter Kelly, seconded by George Huntingford, the plat was accepted by the Board.
A request was made by the Standard Oil Company to conduct a geological survey in
Jefferson County between May 1 and December 31, 1963 to consist of drilling auger holes
4" in diameter down to a depth of 80 f.et. Upon motion of George Huntingford, seconded by
Walter KellYi permission was granted to conduct such survey work. At. the start of such
work they wi 1 f\lrnish a map 1ncli eating approximate location of holes to be drilled.
For t he purpose of the l'edemption of General Obligation Bridge Bonds for Portage
Canal Bridgel. Resolution No. C-545 \liaS signed for the transfer of t12,997.54 from the
County Road ruM to the Portage Canal Bridge Fund.
The Board members proceeded to the County Jail for inspection purposes and found it
to be in excellent concli tion.
A call for bids was made by the Board for one Highway mower, to be opened April 15,
196) at 11:00 A. M.
Resolution No. C-545
WHEREAS, in the year 196) the sum of $12,997.54 is required to redeem ~otids No.
103 through 114 and coupons 24 and 25 of the Jefferson County General Obligation Bridge
Bonds.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners for Jefferson County, Washington,
that the amount of $12,997.54 be transferred from the County Road Fund to 'he Portage
Canal Bridge Bond Fund, and the Treasurer of Jefferson County be and he is herewith
authorized and directed to make such transfer in order to meet the payments due for
1963 for principal and interest on the aforementioned bonds.
ADOPTED this 1st day of April, 1963.

The HDnorable Board of Jefferson County Commissioners met in regular session with
Commi~sioners Arey and Kelly ,present. Commissioner George Huntingford was confined in
$t. John's Hospital having undergone surgery.
, ,This being the time set for hearing for the vacation of the Plat of Roseville
Addition to Qullcene, Mr. Harold Pedersen appeared., and no objections were entered. '
Motion made by Walter A. Kelly, seconded by Lyall Arey that the plat b~ vacated with the
exception of Florence and Sampson Streets, in accordance wi th opinion of Engine~r Edwin "
