Monday, May 6, 1963 The Honorable Board of Jefferson Oounty Commissioners met in regular session with all menbers prosent. Minutes of' t,he last regular session were read and ap proved as read. This being the time set for hearing on the l~ roal Estate Sales Tax, and no one appearing to object, Ordinance No. XVIX was signed ae per copy attached. I I . Mayor Dennis Sullhan appeared and d1.scussed the County-City garbage dump! with the Cmmmissioners. The members of the Board inspected the dump and decided to al ow car bodies to be dumped there. Mr. Carl Mullen wLll smash them and dispose of them in the proper manner. Mr. Chas. B. Jennings and Mr. Jas. A. Rider appeared relative to Division '2, Olympic Canal Plat. They offered to post a certified check for 01,000.00 to be held untll the Plat is accepted, so that lots can be sold. A motion was made by Walter Kelly, seconded by George Huntingford that Division #2, Olympic Canal Plat be accepted. The certified ch411ck for $1,000.00 will be filed. The plat has been approved by the County Assessor. A Liquor License was granted by theWashington State Liquor Control Bo~d to John Francis Dowd, d/b/a Dowd's Grocories, Box 34, Port Ludlow, Washington, for EF license. The Honorable Board of Jefferson County Commissioners met in regular session with all members present. For the purpose of completing the Chima cum-Towns end Road, Resolution No. C-547 Withholding Resolution for $80,426.50 on Chimacum-Townsend Road was signed as follows: RESOLUTION NO. 0-547 I I WHEREAS, under and by virtue of the terms of that certain agreement made and entered , into by and between the County of Jefferson and the State of Washingtoni acting through its Department of Highways and the Director thereof, ,under dat,e of May 0, 1963, the State will act as agent for the County of Jefferson in the participation of said County of Jefferson with the Bureau of Public Roads under the provisions of the Federal\id Road Act of 1944, for the construction of Federal Aid Project No. 5-0496(3) and S-2322(5) Chirnacum-Townsend Road, copy of which agreement is hereunto attached, now referred to and by such reference incorporated herein and made a part hereof, now, therefore, BE rr HEREBY RESOLVED that said agreement be and the same is hereby ratified and app- roved; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that authorization is hereby granted for the reservation of an amount of Eighty thousand four hundred twenty-six and 50/100 Dollars ($80,426.50) from monthly fuel tax allotments, being an amount not in excess of the money reasonably anticipated to accrue to the County of Jefferson in the Motor Vehicle Fund during the current biennium as the balance of the estimated parti cipating share and c Oflt!:l of the County of Jefferson in the Woove-mentioned project, for the use of the Director of Highways to defray the costa incurred in the performance of the aforesaid requested work; and upon oompletion of the aforesaid work, payment having been made therefor, and a state- ment having been furnished to the County of Jefferoo n, authorization is Illlde to release to the County of Jefferson any unexpended balance of the amount reserved by this reSOlution. , The amqunt of Federal Aid partic1.pat.ing funds wLll be credited to the County when received , from the Bureau of Public Roads.
