The HonQrable Board of Jefferson County Commissioners met in regular session with
all members present. .
Mr. Peter Naughton and Mr. Al Carr appeared for the VFW. A motion made by George
Huntingford, seconded by Walter Kelly renewed the lease to the Veterans of Foreign Wars
for a period of ten years, for the Veterans' Hall, from April 1, 1962 to April 1, 1972.
Minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved as read.
Bills were examined and approved as follows:
Current Expense Fund $10,343.76
County Road Fund 28,246.35
F. Dist #1 111.74-
Fir'e Dist #2 36.60
Tuberculosis Hospital 1,435.44
Supt!s. Spec; SeI"lI'. 40.00
Soldier's & Sailors' Fund 240.00
Law Library Fund 53.56
Mr. Perry Hi]], and Mrs. George Hubbard appeared relative to a garbage dump for the
Shine area. Mr. Huntingford made a motion, seconded by Walter Kelly that the County
Engineer contact Pope & Talbot Co., in regard to purchasing a site from that Company,
which could be used for a garbage clump.
A lease was signed for the Dept. of General Adminis'tration for the spal:a occupied
by the Dept. of Public Assistance in the Courthouse at $100.00 per month.
This being the time advertised for a hearing for the formation of a stock-restricted
area in the East end of Jefferson County. After due consideration, and no citizens
appearing to object, Walter Kelly made a motion, seconded by George Huntingford, that a
stock-restricted area be formed including all of Eastern Jefferson County as follows:
Twps. 27,28,29 and 30 N., R 1 E. W. M.
" 25,26,27,28,29,30 & 31 N. R 1 W. W. M.
" 25,26,27,28,29,30 & 31 N. R 2 W., W. M.
" 25,26, & 27 N. R 3 \1/. W. M. Motion carried.
A Resolution will be signed later.
Mr. Hugh Goldsmith appeared with the plat of Olympic Canal Addition No.4. A motion
was made by Walter Kelly, sedonded by George Huntingford, that Olympic Canal Addition No.
4 be accepted. A road maintenance Bond for 1 year in amount of '$8,000.00, renewable
at the end of one year, was filed with the Count,y Engineer.

The Honorable Board of County Commis sioners me t in regular session wi th all members
present.
Mr. Peter Naugh ton and Mr. Al Carr ~peared and signed the Lease for the Veterans of
Foreign Wars for the Veterans' Hall from April 1, 1962 to April 1, 1972.
The hearing on the Cape George Village Plat was held at this time. There were no
objections and on motion made by Commissioner Kelly, seconded by COnmP.ssioner Huntingford,
and carried, the pla t was accepted and signed.
The Order creating a stock restricted area was signed by all Commissioners and
ordered published four times in the "Leader".
