Monday, August 19, 1963 :i The Honorable Board of County Commissf.onell met in regular session with all members Ii present. ~: Mrs. Maude Ohurchill appeared before th e Board in behalf of her son Don Churchill, Ii asking the Board to set a time for t.ie hearing on a new plat Madrona nata. A motion Ii was made by George Huntingforrl, seconded by \Ira! tar Kelly and, carried, that the hearing :1 on the plat b& sot for September 16th a't U:OO o'a1Dc'k. Ii Mr. John J. Sleavin appeared and asked about the approach to the Pleasant Harbor il P1atl \'chi Ch he presented to the Board. Miss Dorothy Youngberg appeared and requested Ii the county to. fix t he approach to the Plat. The Oommissioners assured hor it would bel looked into and fixed. After due discUssion, a motion was made by George Huntingford. I' seconded by Walter Kelly and carried approving and accepting the Plat. ~~. Grady, J. P. appeared and dIscussed the matter of building a courthouse annex in the West End of the Coun~y.. .Georg~ ~unt~ngfor~ l\1Sd:e.a ,m~t1,o~, ,sE!cqnde~ t!y ,W~ter Kelly and 'carried, that the County Engineer look into the matter of finding a building ai te in t he West End and also to make an estimate of the cost of Ii one room building. Communications were read, acted on and ordered filed. This being the time advertised ,fur opening bids on redecking the Queets River !?ridge. The fbllowing bids were opened: Winterburn const. Co. $57,1+08.00 .Arthur Fralick Co., Inc. 68,~71.00 Louis Elterich Co. 59,600.00 :: Western Bridge Co. 75,600.00 II Padific Crane & CODst. Inc. 8:3,540.00 I A motion was m~de. by Wa;I.ter Kel;Ly, ss.copd.ed. by .Ge,orge, H1Jn.tipg.ford. a.nd, c,ar.ried, th at II all bids be rejected as they were too high, and taat tMs job of redecking the Queets II River Bridge be readvertised on September 3rd. Ii The owners of Lots 1,2 & :3 of Ludlow Beach Tracts /12, appeared and talked to 1,./ the Commissioners about a washout problem on streets in Ludlow Beach Tracts. A mmtion was made by George Huntingford, seconded by WalbeteZ'dKelly and cdarrihed, ithat ithe County Ii Engineer look into the matter and see mat can one to rallle y t e s tua'G on.
