The Honorable Board of J~fferson County Commissioners met in regular session with
all members present. .
Mr. Duff, Civil Defense Co-ordinator appeared relative to meeting to be held in this
County on December 5th. This wlll be in the Courtroom and all County officials and
representatives from business concerns, City officials and police will be invited.
For the purpose of vacating a portion of the old Mount Walker County Road, a hearing
will be held in the Commissioners' Room on December 2nd at 11:00 A. M. Resolution No. '
0-564 was signea as fbllows:
RESOLUTION NO. C-564
, WHEREAS, after due consideration, it appears to this Board of County Commissioners,
that it is not in the public interest to continue to maintain as a part of the County
Road System; that portion of the existing County Road known as the "Old Mount Walker
County Road" J established May 4, 1892, and the right of way therefor, being a strip of
,land thirty l;30) feet in width and ap,\>roximate1y 0.95 of a mile in length, which lies
wi thin the NW; of th e NE~, the Sou th ~ of the NE; and the NEt of the SEt of Section 11, i
the SWt of the NW~ and the NWt of the SWt o~ Section 12, all in Township 26 North Range!
2 West, W. M.,; ani in contemplation of thelanguage of the statute, R.C.W. 36.87.010, the!
same is useless; now therefore, "

BE IT RESOLVED, and this Board of County Commissioners does now declare its intention
to vacate and abandon said road, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, and the County Engineer is hereby directed to examine said '
road and report his opinion as to whether this county road should be vacated and abandoned;
wnether it is in use or has been in use, the conditions thereof, and \'fuether it will be :
adviseable to preserwe said road for the county road system in the future; whether the
public will be benefited by the proposed abandonment, and all other facts, matters and
things which tdll be of importance to the Board and that such report be filed as soon as
. practi cable.

I, This being the time advertised for hearing on the petition for the formation of a
i:Water Di strict in Blocks A to K Paradise View Estates and Blocks 1 to 14 Paradise Bay
i.Estates. Mr. Eugene Forest appeared with several residents of the area. No persons
i"appeared and entered objections to the formation of a District. Wa~ter Kelly moved,
,seconded by Garge Huntingford, that the petition be accepted and Fr~day, December 13,
:1963 be fixed for the date of election. The members of the Board signed Resolution No.
;C&)565 as follows: '

, WHEREAS, a publi c hearing was h ad on the 4th day of November I 1963, pursuant to
'notice given by publication regarding the formation of a water district, ,and the Commis-
eioners having found that sa:l.d water district would be condusive to the public health, ,
we1fa:re and convenience and of special benefit to the land included within said boundarie~l
and there being no objection to the formation of said district, !,
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved that a special election shall be h ad on the 13th day l,
of Decem~er, 1963, at which time all qualified voters residing within the boundaries of s i:
suid district ahal1 cast their ballots for the election of three commis8ioners and as to ~i
whother or not said district shall be formed. !i
