The Honorable Board of Commissioners for Jefferson County, met in regular session
with all members present.
Minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved as read.
A preliminary plat of Bridgehaven on Hood Canal near South Point was presented to
the Board by P. S. Exchange Corporation, by Lloyd Blake - 15 19 gth No. Seattle.
A motion was me.de by G Gorge Huntingford, seconded by Wal ter A. Kelly to accept the
Preli@inary Plat dated February 26, 1964. This wlll be divided into additions and as
each one is completed in accordance wlth Commissioners' requirements, it will be approved.
The Health Department will check on the plats as they are constructed. ·
A discus810n arose as to .t1nancing the cost of an elevator in the Courthouse and
it was decided the matter wll1 have to be placed on the ballot for the propositio~ of
bonding the County for $40,000.00. Upon motion of Walter A. Kelly, seconded by George
Huntingford, the matter wlll be on the Primary Ballot, September 15, 1964.

The Honorable Board of Jefferson County Commissioners met in regular session with all
members present.
Mr. Eugene Forest appeared and presented a petition sign ed by eigpt residents of
the Rock~r Point District for the formation of a Water District in Gov. Lot 3, of Sec. 29;
T. 25 N., R2 West, Jefferson County.
'rhe members of the Board fixed April 6, 1964 at 11: 00 A. M'l for the cia te of a
public hearing on the petition, upon motion made by George Hunting ford, seconded by
Walter A. Kelly. Resolution No. 0-579 was sigped as follows:

WHEREAS, a petition has been transmitted by the County Auditor to the Board of
County Commissioners of Jefferson County, Washington, for the formation of a water
district within the hereinafter described boundaries, and the County Auditor has trans-
mitted a certificate of sufficiency of the persons signing said petition are qualified,
registered electors residing within the boundarie s of s aid area, and
WHEREAS, it appears in the petit ion that such will be conducive to the public health,
convenience. and welfare, and wi.11 be of benefit tAl the property included in such district.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that a public hearing shall be held at the Commissionem '
Room in the Courthouse, Port Townsend, Washington, on the 6th day of April, 1964; at .
11:00 A. M., regarding the fonnation of a water district within the following described
boundarl es: .
Government Lot J of Section 29, Township 25 North, Range 2 West, of the
Willamette Meridian, in Jefferson County, State of Washington.
