RESOLUTION NO. C-583
A RESOLUTION of the Board of County Commissioners
of Jefferson County, Washington, providing tor-
th e sublUisai on to the qualifi e d ele etor S 0 f the
Oount,y at a spacial election to be held therein
on September 15, U64, of a proposition of whether
or not the County should iSflUe its unlimited tax
levy general obligati on bonds in the principal
&mount of $401000 for the purpose of providing
funds to acqu re and install an elevator in the
present County Courthouse.
WHEREAS, it is daelrled necessary and adv:l.sable that an elevator be qcquired and
installed in the present County Courthouse;
and
WHEREAS, in order to provide funds to pay the cos t of acquiring and installing such
e1evat,or it is deemed necessary and adv:l.sab1e that the County issue its unlimited tax levy
general obligation bonds in the principal sum of $40,000; and
\'ffiEREAS, the Constitution and laws of the State of Washington require that the
question of whether or not Slch bonds may be iSSled for such purpose must be submitted
to t.he qualif'led electors of the County for their ratification or rejection;

NOW, THEREFURE~ BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Jefferson Cdunty,
Washington, as follows::

Sac~ion ;2. For the purpose of providing funds ne cessary to carry out the above- ..
descr1bed plan of capital improvements, the County shall issue and sell its unlimited:
tax lfnry general. obligation bonds in the principal amount of $40,000. Said bonds shall ;:bear
interest at a rate of not to exceed ~ per annum, and shall mature serially in from two::
to fifteen years from date of issue. Both principal of and interest on said bonds shal~
be payable out of annual tax levies to be made upon all the taxable property within the::
County without limitation as to rate or amount. The exact date, form, terms and maturi~
ties of said bonds shall be as hereafter fixed by resolution of the Board of County 'i
Commissioners9
Section 3. It is hereby found and declared that an emergency exists requiring the Ii
submission to the qualified electors of the County at a special election to be held
therein on the 15th day of September, 1964, of the proposition of whet.~er or not it
shoul.d sell such bonds for such purpose.
The Jefferson County Audi tor. as ex officio Supervisor of Elections for Jefferson
County, is hereby requested to also find the existence of such emergency and to call and,
conduct said special election to be held within the County on said date and to submit ';
to the qualifi ed e1e ctors of the County at said spe cia1 e1e ctio n the following proposit~;on:

PROPOSITION
COUNTY OOURTHOUSE IMPROVEMENT BONDS, $40,000.
Shall Jefferson County, Washiqgton, issue its general
obligation bonds in .the principal sum of $40.000, such bonds
to bear interest at a rate of not to exceed 0% per annum, to
mature serially in from t"lO to fifteen ye ars from date of
issue, and to be paid both principal and interest out of
annual tax levies to be made without limitation as to rate
or amount, for the purpose of providing funds to acquire
and install an elevator in the County Courthouse, all as
more spec:l.fically prov:l.ded in a resolution of the Board of
County Comnlissioners adopted March 16, 1964?
