The Honorable Board of Jefferson County Commissioners met in regular session with
all members present.
A group of residents from the County precincts eppeared before the Board and
discussed the change of County Extension Agents for this County. The State office has
assured the 80ard, that with the co-ordi n~ti on of Clall am and Jefferson Count! es, a full
time Extension Agent will be assigned to et:ferson County with the services of a Home
Demonstration Agent, Forestry man, and Horti cu1turist available part time.
'l'ho consolidation of County Fe.irs with Clall an County is. not approved by the members
of this Board and there are no plans for such a consolidation.
A representative for the State Department of H1ehways appeared and presented an
agreement for a proposed detour pertaining to the State using the new Secondary State
Highway No. 9-E with said County Road to C~~ter, and the agreement to remain in effect
until the State has completed the new Secondary State Highway No. 9-E to a junction with
Primary State No.9 ( SR 101), in the vicinity 01' Crocker Lake.
Minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved as read,
The plat of Cape George Village, Division 3, having been set for hearing, was
approved August 26, 1964. .,
Preliminary Budgets for 1965 were received as follows:
