Mr. Max Plattner appeared and explained he has no pin ball machines in the County
and only music boxes, and amusement machines. Mr. Walter Kelly made a motion, seconded
by George Huntingford that the Master L:I.cense for Amusement machines for Mr. Plattner
be reduced to $500.00 for 1965.
l.w. Julian Oen appeared and a dis cussion wa.s held as to the ne cessity of a Planning'
Comm:lmion for Jefferson County. Mr. George Huntingford made a motion, seconded by ,
Mr. Walter A. Kelly that a Planning Commission be appointed in the near future.
~1r. Robert Hansen, Sheriff of the County, appeared before the Board and requested
an emergency for the 1965 Budget for the Sheriff's office for $6,000.00 for extra
personnel to keep his office open 24 hours a day, with a jailer on hand at all times. The
members of the Board took this under advisement.

The Honorable Board of County Commissioners met with only Commissioner Arey present.
Commissioners Huntingford and Kelly were in Yakima at a State convention.
A noti ce was received ffom the State Liquor Control Board denying an application for
transfer of license from Jas. Barton Edgbert and Roy Hanning, d/b/a Ironda1e Grocery,
Star Route 1, Port Townsend to Glenn Wm. Avis and 6pal LaRue Avis.

The Honorable Boa.rd of Jefferson County Commissioners met in regular session with
members present.
A notice was reeeived from the Department of Natural Resources stating the County's
&,are of money r4ceived .from rental on Dick C. Lomsdalen's lease No. 55277 is $48.00.
Plans were received for 1imi ted Access on "Junction PSH #9 to Brown's Lake Road.
The Board accepted the plans and waived a public hearing and signed Resolution No. C-
604-A as follows:

Limited Access Highway
~~EREAS pursuant to the provision of RCW 47.52.130 at. seq. a report describing
the plan for the improvement of Secondary State Highway No. 9-E lSign Route 104) in the
County of Jefferson was presented to the Commission on December 7, 1964 for studyj and
WHEREAS on December 7, 1964, a conference was held with the State Highway Department
E;ngineers to consider the merits of the proposed p1anj and
WHEREAS no modifications or alternate proposals were presented at the conferencej
and
WHEREAS Approval of the proposed plan will expedite the acquisition of right of way
and subsequent construction of the higJ1waYj
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, in accordance with the provisions of RCW 47.52.130
et. seq., that Jefferson County acting through its officers and authorities does hereby:
approve the plan for improvemen t of the following des crib ed portion of Secondary State Ii
Highway No. 9-E (Sign Route 104) within Jefferson County, said plan being identical '

line between Sections 7 and 8, Township 28 North, Range 1 West, W.M.,
approxims.tely 0.2 mile north of the Quarter Section Corner.
