The matter of a planning and Recreation Commission was di scussed and the following
appointments were made:
Duane Clocksin and Phil Copps, for 6 years. Silas Brainard and Julian Den, 4 years.
One more member will be appointed for a two year term.
Frank Symonds appeared for Sportsmem.' Associ ation of Jefferson County and requested
permission to clear th$ County-.Property at Lake Leland next to the State Parking Area.

A motion was made by Lyall Arey seconded by George Huntingford, that the Kitsap County
P. U. D. \'later District request for 100 second feet of water of Duckabush River be protested
and a Resolution w1.11 be drawn to that effect. Th:1ls was to protect the future resources
of the County.
Mr. Jim Crippen representing Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacif.Lc Railroad Co.,
appeared regarding encroachment agreement to cover Chlcago, Milwaukee railroad relutive
to reloc...tion east of Gardiner. This was ccntinued to March 1st.
Mr. Robert L. Hansen appeared and requested additional funds for deputies in the
Sheriff's office for raise in salary under a new plan in amount of $2,240.00. A resolu-
tion \'llllbe signed and a date fixed for hearing on the matter.
