WHEREAS, after due consideration, it appears to this Board of County Commissioners
that it is not in the publi c in1lrest to continue to maintain as part of the county
road system'
, 1. Al! tho se portions of the following platted streets in the Seahome Addition
as recorded on page 124 in volume 2 of plats, records of Jefferson County, Wash-
ington; .1yinS outside of the right 'of way for County Road No.9 (C.R.P. No. 266):
The unnamed street running east and west between Lots 7 am 29,
The unnamed street running east and west between Lots 6 and 7,
and the unnamed street running north and south lying between Lot 29
on the west and Lots 1 through 7 on the east.
2. All those portions of the old Discovery Road in Sec. 29, T. 30
N., R. 1 W., lying outside of the right of way of the present location
of County Road No. 3a.
3. That portion of the former Nordland Road replaced by County Road
Project No. 250, approved September 16,1963; from a point thirty feet
south of the section corner common to sections 28,29,32 a.'1d 33, T.
30 N., R. 1 E., W. M. southerly to the intersection l'Ii th the westerly
right of way line of said County Road Project No. 250.
and in contemplati on of the language of the statute, R.C.W. 36.87.010, the same
are useless, now therefor,
BE IT RESOLVED, and this Board of Countf Commissioners does now declare its
intention to vacate and abandon said roads, am be it,
FURTHER RESOLVED, and the County Engineer is hereby directed to examine
said roads and report his opinion as to \'t1ether these county roads should be vacated
and abandoned; whether any are in use or have been in use; the conditions thereof;
and \'bethel' it will be advi seable to preserve said roads for the county road system in
the future; whether the public will be benefited by the proposed abandonment, and all
other facts, matters and th~ings \'.hid1 will be of importance to the Board and that such
report be filed as soon as practicable.
