The Honorable Board of Jefferson County Commissioners met in regular session with all members present. ~w. Lyle Kenyon ~Jpeured with Mr. Lawrence Cooper, Field Supervisor of the State Department of Public Assistance from Olympia. He informed the Board that due to the difficulty in securing a ~lelfure Administrator to fill the vacuncy in this office, it is proposed to combine Jeffe!'llon County ...lith Clallam County, with the Clallam County Administrator in charge of both Counties. The local office force will be retained in this County. The members of the Boa.l'd ull entered their objections to this plan. Mr. J. E. Hieber and Mr. Yeager A. Bush, representing Bridgehuven Plat at South Point appeared before tile Board. The Preliminary Plat of Division 4, Bridgehaven, W~1l presented. ' Mr. Neil Pendley appeared relative to salaries for road workers. Mr. Jack Slaven of 'l'L4coma, ap peured with the preliminary l-tarshall-\'lill1ams Addition Plat on Hood's Canal. A hearing will be held on October 18, 1965 at 1:30 P.M., by the Board. Mr. Ron \'lestley appe ared relu. tive to funds needed by the Quilcene School Di strict from Federal Forest Funds. This was taken under advisement by the Board. The members of the Board studied the 1966 Current Expense Budget and considered the needs of the various departments. A noti ce was received from the Washington State Uquor Control Board stating Jimmie Cotton, d/b/a Hadlock House, P. o. Box 67, Hadlock made application for Class H license in lieu of Class C. This was approved by the Board of County Commissioners.
