Mr. Wm. McDonald appeared and reported the Port Ludlow residents and those in that
area have no access to the Seattle bus except by ~tng to Center or Chima cum. Th~y
request a road from Queen Anne Boulevard to Paradise Bay ibr a shorter route to the
Hood's Canal Dridge. Part of this is on the 1966 Road Program. Mr. George Simpokes
lIpoke on the number of homes along the Mats Mats Road to Hadlock and requested aid from
the Board to endeavor to have the Bus company run the bus from the Bridge along that
Road. George Huntingford promised the Board will assist as mnch'as possible.
There will be no meeting on Febraary 11th, duej~he Holiday for Washington's Birthday
The Board recessed to meet in special session Feb~2ary 15th at lO:OO A. M.

The Honorable Board met in special session with all members present.
In the proposed exchange of property wlth Quilcene Grange No. 1109, Lyall Arey made .
a motion, seconded by George Huntingford, that it is unanimously resol'Ved that Engi'ileer
~Becker be authorized to employ two competent land appraisers to fix the value of the
'property being considered in the exchange.
: 11:00 A. M., being the time set for hearing on the proposed incorporation of Hadlock,"
a number of residents of the area appeared before the Board. The affidavit of publication'
of Notice of Hearing was filed. The Clerk read 11 directive from Chairman Walter Kelly :i
!;requesting objelltors who desire the boundaries changed to make their objections in writing'.

Many expressions were given in the matter. When written requests for boundary change/3
:~re rece! ved by the Board by March 1st the Board will have a head count to ascertain if th~
required 300 inhabitants reside within the area. This was continued to March 1 at 11:00 AI~ M.

An agreement was entered into February 1 1966 wi th the State Highway Department for .

vicinity of Shine in SW~NE~ Sec. 32, T. 18 N. R W. W. M., a distance of 7.36 miles, the
County to furnish labor. materia:i.s and oquipment to construct a soal coat, and the State
to reimburse the County in the amount of $2800.00.
