No.4, to€}ether wi. th 0.37 miles 0'If Co. Road No. 302 by constructing asphaltic concrete
pa vement (Ness Corne rs to Hadlock and Quilcene Street 0>.
The following bid WQs received - J. D. Shotwell Co. 3113 So. Pine St.
Tacoma, 1'1ashington. $20,317.50
Upon motion made by Lyall AreYl seconded by George Huntingtord, the bid of J. D.
Shotwell was accepted in amount of ~20,317.50.
A noti ce was received from the Washin~ton State Liquor Control Board stating that
Roy Wm. Hudson and Gladys Alice Hudson d/b/a Fran's Kitcllen, P. O. Box 393, Gardiner,
have dis continued licensed operations at the above location.
The Board grantod permission to the Pacific Northwest Bell Telephone Company to
place approximately 2100 feet of buried telephone cable along the northerly side of
County Road #10,-5.6$ , located on the South half of Sec. 29, Twp 29N., R 1 ,., W. M.
(Shine area).
Notices were received from the Department of Natural Resources stating the County's
share of money received from the sale of timber to Geronimo Lumber Company is $2,437.50
and from Seaboard Lumber Company for sale of timber, $10,571.00.
A county deed was signed granting Lots 4 to 16 incl. Elk II of the Plat of Quilcene
in exchange for the S 290 , of that portion of the. Port To\msand Southern ltailroad R/W
in N. E! Sec. 24, T. 27 N. R 2 W, W. M., lying bet\'lWen blocks 6 & q. of H. W. Campbf}ll's,
Addi tion to Quilcene (Tax 44 in Sec. 24).
Vacation of a 60' strip in an unnamed street between Blocks 1 and 4 of W. J. Worth-
ington's Addition to Quilcene, was discussed and it was decided the COmnUssioners will
initiate proceedings for vacation by motion of George Huntingford, seconded by Lyall Aray.
A motion was made by Ci\:lorge Huntingford, seconded by ~Taltor A. Kelly for the
purchase of a new bulldozer, upon specifications to be dra\'r'n up by the Engineer.
For an improvement on State High way 9-E described as SSH 9-E (SRl04) from the ,
Junction of PSH 9, (SRlOl) to Brown's Lake, Resolution No. 0-641 was si/Y'lad for concurrence
of Jefferson County in the improvement as follows:
RESOLUTION NO. C-64l.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commiss1oners oi Jefferson County, Washington has been
informed that the Department of Highways of the State of Washington is conSidering the
programming of a higtl\'tay improvElJlent pro,ject on a section of Secondary State High\'fay No.
9-1!i in Jefferson County, said section being further dGscribed as follows:
SSH 9-E (SRl04) from the Junction of PSH 9, (SH10l) to Brown's Lake
in Jeffers on County.
AND WHEREAS, the said Department of High\';ays further proposes that said improvament
is to be financed from State Motor Vehicle Fundl9 supplemented with Federal Aid Secondary
Funds available to the State of Washington as reserved for use on the State Highways
system,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that tho Board of County Commissioners of Jefferson
County hereby concurs in the selection of the above dascribed project.
