Mrs. Lee C. Davis appeared before the Board relati ve to the publication of a History of
Jefferson County. Upon motion of Lyall Arey, second,sd by Geore;e Huntingford, the Board
approved the proj ect.
A notice was received from the Dept. of Interior stating that the U. S. of America
accepts the terms and. conditions of Franchise dated May 6, 1966, covering transmission
lines crossing over ~ounty roads in Jefferson County.
Notices were received from the Department of Natural Resources stating the County's
share of money to be received for ~imber sales Will be as follows:

Wednesday May 25, 1966.
Mr. Roy Bergstrom appeared ~th members of the Sportsmen's Club and Game Department
relative to the development of a piece of land at. Lake Leland for parking area, etc.
The county will cooperate as far as possible ~ th the Club.
Mr. Jack Johnson of Pope & Talbot, Inc. appeared with the final Plat of Tala Shores
#3. Affidavit of Dosting and Plat Certificate are on file. Upon motion made by George
Huntingford, seconded by Lyall Arey, the Plat was accepted.
Mr. John Hieber appeared with the pre1iminalY Plat of Bridgehaven Division 6. Upon
motion of Lyall Arey, seconded by George Huntingford, Mr. Hieber was given permission
to proceed with the Plat.
A mot~on was w~de by Lyall Arey, seconded by George Huntingford, setting June 6 at
ll:OO A. M., as the date of hearing on Division 6 and 7 of 13ridgehaven Plat.
JIll'. John D. Swift appeared with the Plat of Lazy C Ranch, Division one. George
Huntingford made a motion, seconded 'qy Lyall Arey that the, Plat of Lazy C Ranch, Div.
One be accepted subject to completion" of roads and ditches. A certified check for
$l,OOO.OO will be deposited to guarantee completion of the \,,ork.
Applications for liquor licenses were approved as follows:

The Honorable Board of Jefferson County Commissioners met in special session w~th
all members present.
The Board being infon'l\ed of the death of Thomas Lieb, Jefferson County School
Superintendent, gave official order for the Courthouse to be closed during the funeral
servic es between the hours of 1;00 and 3: 00 P.M. Reso) uti on No. c,.643 was signed as
follows:

the death of Thomas Lieb, Jefferson County School Superintendent, and noUng the time
of the funeral services,
