A RESOLUTION DECLARING '!liE ORGANIZATION OF JEFF-
ERSON COUNTY FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT NO.3,
STATING THE RESULTS OF THE ELECTION FOR THE ORGAN-
. IZATION THEREOF, AND DECLARING AND CONFIRMING THE
DULY ELECTED FIRST FIRE COMMISSIO NERS OF SAID
DIS TRICT.
The Board of County Commissioners of Jefferson County, State of Washington, in
regular session assembled, after examination of the election held on December a, 1965,
and the records thereto pertai ning, for the formation of Jefferson County Fire Pro-
tection District No.3, and after canvassing of the returns of said election and exam..
ination of the certificate of canvassing, all in the fbrm and manner required by
statute, and
Upon finding that after due notice glven a total of 94 votes were cast in said
election with the result that 90 votes were cast in favor of the proposi tion "Jefferson
County Fire Protection District No.3 --- yes," and 4 votes were cast in favor of the
proposition "Jefferson County Fire Protection District No.3 --- noj" and that the ;3
candidates r.omed for first fire protection district Commissioners in.said district ware
Robert Deskins, who rece! ved a9 votes, Myron Lopeman, \\ho received 74 votes, and Dennis
Hannan, who received a5 votes, and that said commissioner candidates recei vea highest
number of votes cast for the position of commissioner, and the Board of County Commissionp
era being in all matters fully advised,
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED:
That the election held on December 8, 1965, for the purpose of balloting on the
proposition to form Fire Protection District No.3 in Jefferson County, Washington, be
and it is hereby in all respe cts; confirmed, and that JeffersonCounty Fire Protection
D~rict No. 3 be and it is hereby found and declared to be duly organized as a fire
protection district within Jefferson County, Washington, composed of those lands lying
within said county and described as:
Sections 4,5,6,?j8,9 and 10 inclusive, and
Sections 15,16,171 and 18, inclusive, in Township
28 North, Range 1 East of the Willamette Meridian; ~
and Sections 2$,29,30,31,32 and 33 in Township
29 North, Range 1 East of the Willamette Meridian;
and togethe r with the East one-half of Sectio ns 1
and 12 of the Northeast Quarter of Sectio n 13,
Township 2$ North, Range 1 West of the WILLamette
Meridian;
and said area is here and hereby included within the said Jefferson County Fire Protect-
ion District No.3, and, it is further resolved that
The three candidates at said election for the position of Fire Protection District
Commissioner in said Jefferson County Fire Protection Di stri ct No.3 were Robert
Deskins, who received 89 votes of a total of 94 cast, Dennis Hannan, who received 85
votes and Myron Lopeman, who received 74 votes, and the said candidates are here and
hereby declared to be the duly elected first Fire Commissioners of said district.
The CLERK of the BOARD Of County Commissioners is here and hereby authorized and
directed to cause certified copies of this Resolution to be filed for records in the .
Offices of the Oounty Audi tor of Jefferson CountYt Washington and the County Assessor
of sai d county.
Passod at a regular session of the Board. of County Commissioners of Jefferson
County, Washington held on July l8, 1966.

Mrs. Sue Watney Roy appeared with the Plat of Watney's Sunlandia, at Shine.
George Huntingford m'Jved and Lyall Arey seconded a motion. for a hearing on the Plat to
be held August 1st.
Mrs. John Blieber nnd Mr. Bob Roed of Brldgehaven Plat, Division VII,appeal"ed and'
a motion was made by George Huntingford, soconded by LYall AREY to accept the plat on
condition that it will meet with the County Engineer's approval before recording.
A renewal form was received for the lease of space in the Courthou~e for t.he
Department of Public Assistance. After discussing the matter, a motion was made by
Lyall Aroy, seconded by George Huntirlgford, that the rental mll be $l50.00 per month
instead of $100.00 as formerly charged. The Department of General Administration will
be so advised.
The' Commissioners decided to hold a sale of Cou~ty property on September 16, 1966
at lO:OO o'clock A. M. The Order of Sale was signed by the Board membors.
A cal1for bids was made for improvement of 1.260 miles of Port Ludlow..Paradise
Road, Co. Road No.6., to bo opened August 15, 1966 at ll:OO A.M.
