A special meeting of the Board of Commissioners of Jefferson County was held for the purpose of considering the installation of an elevator. Pursuant to notice hereto- fore given under ROW 42.32.010, proof of which being now on ille herein, and written consent of the three County Commissioners for Jefferson County, having been previously filed in the office of the County Auditor under RCW 36.32.090, the Board of County Commissioners for Jefferson County met in Epecial session at the Commissioners' Room in the Courthouse at ten o'clock a.m. Monday, August 22, 1966, for the purpose of taking action on a proposed resolution anticipating the calling of a special election on a proposition as to whether or not Jefferson County should not sell its general obligation bonds in the principal sum of $40,000.00 for the oonstruction of a courthouse elevator, and for the transaction of such other business asmmight be necessary. In the absence of Edwin Becker, County Engineer, Mr. Daly presented to the Board figures from Mr. Becker's offi ce for the estimated cost of purchase and installation of the new elevator. After discussion with sundry taxpayers of the county, preoent at the meeting, it decided that the maximum amount of the proposed bond issue be set at $35,000.00. Whereupon, Mr. Daly presented a resolution prepared by bond oounsel to be regularly employed for the purpose, and after the Dame having been read and the contents discussed, upon motion of Mr. Arey, seconded by Mr. Huntingford, the resolution was unanimously adopted, and the same being numbered C-651 is hereinafter set out in full, to-wit:j RESOLUTION NO. C-65l . I A RESOLUTION of the Board of County Commissioners of Jefferson County, Washington, providing for the submission to the qualified electors of the County at a special elect:l.on to be held therein on September 20, 1966 of a proposition of whether or not the County shibuld issued its unlimited tax levy general obligation bonds in the principal amount of $35,000.00, for the purpose of providing funds to acquire and install an elevator in the preaen t County Courthous e. WHEREAS, it is deemed ne cessary and advisable that an elevator be acquired and installed in the present County Courthouse; and WHEREAS, in order to provide funds to pay the cost of acquiring and installing Buch elevator it is deemed necessary and advisable that the County issue its unlimited tax levy general obligation bonds in the pricipal amount of $35,000.00; and WHEREAS, the Constitution and laws of the State of Washington require that the question of mether or not such bonds may be issued for such purpose must be submitted to the qualified electors of the County for their ratification or rejection; NOW, THEREFORE, BE rr RESOLVED by the Board of County CommiBsioners of Jefferson County, Washington, as fb110wa: S.aotion 1.
